I heard he is reporting to camp after his rumored "mental breakdown" a week or so ago on College Football Live. Has that changed again? Edit: Stoops has said he's back on the team from an article on July 19th.http://content.usatoday.com/communities/campusrivalry/post/2011/07/arizona-juron-criner-training-camp/1
The QB class looks real good early, way better than this past year's crop IMO. I'm still pushing Brock Osweiler as one of my breakout players of the year at QB...
Thanks for the clarification. Last I heard a few weeks ago, he was on the verge of a mental collaspe. At first, there were rumors of an injury. Criner could be a special player in the NFL, he has a big upside.
I'm expecting big things from AZ State. Vontaze Burfict will be one of the players that I'll watch closely. Kid's a special talent at inside linebacker. I'd love to see the Jets bring him in if Bart Scott's play declines. ...and WW, I agree that Criner is a special player. This year's wideout class will be very good again.
Speaking of top WRs, I came across this pic of Alshon Jeffery the other day: Care to take at shot at explaining this Mr. E?
I usually don't like many Big Ten QBs, but I really like Kirk Cousins. I doubt he will be a starter in the NFL, but has the ability to be a solid #2 NFL QB. Cousins needs to gain some weight he's just under 200lbs. Could be a Rd 3/4 prospect.
Bengals. Not only are they just bad, but they don't have Palmer this year (the right Palmer at least), and they lost the only player they really should have focused on in the offseason (Joseph).
AZ State could win the Pac Ten (12), if Stanford stubs their toe. I remember you bringing up Burfict's name over 2 years ago. Many are making early predicitions Burfict could be drafted in middle of round 1.
hahaha Alshon looks bigger than Melvin Ingram (far right). Ingram plays defensive tackle. He like to eat I guess. As long as he produces, I could care less about what he looks like in pads. Lattimore for Heisman.
I was looking forward to seeing Cousins in the Capital One Bowl, unfortunately I only got to see him run for his life while finally getting put out due to injury. If I recall correctly, he had a real nice pass to Charlie Gantt, right through a small window.
He has earned the name "Mt. Jeffery" on a board I frequent. Even with the added weight, he could still probably abuse Kirkpatrick like he did last season. Devin Taylor looks all of 6-7 too...
I'm excited about the defensive line, man. Jadeveon Clowney, Kelcy Quarles, Melvin Ingram, Travian Robinson, and Devin Taylor should make Carolina pretty tough to beat. I think it's safe to say we'll see a lot of batted balls with Taylor and Clowney playing end. Redshirt Freshman DT Corey Robinson is 6'8 350 - he should be a factor on special teams early in his career.
That's a ridiculous amount of talent and size on the Front 4, hell you could exclude Clowney and USC still has the best line in the SEC. UF could give them a run in that regard, but it's too much on paper and not enough on the field proof. It angers me to hear SOS saying Clowney will essentially play what Bama would have played him at, Hybrid. Bama will get there uber beast in 2013, so I'm not too miffed...
Admit it... he's sloppy fatz. And if we're talking QBs not named Luck, the conversation has to include Landry Jones. Barring injury/madness, he's the 2nd QB taken next year, Barkley or not, write it down. Another guy that I really like is his biggest competition in the Big 12, Ryan Tannehill. Can't wait to see them play (as well as OK State vs. either).
I'm sure Pete Carroll would love to draft Matt Barkley if he's available and there's a good chance he will be.
I'd love to go 1-15 and get him. This season is going to be another useless one...might as well tank it and finally get a QB...
