Why are you listed above me? I have more wins so I should be. lol

What really happens in the event of a tie at the end of the regular season?

I lead on win percentage since you have 1 win and 1 loss on me and that's .500 which is below where we are at .559.

Forget the math, I won the season series 7-1-2, that's why I'm third.

Only two weeks to go? Why does your regular season end so early? ESPN default or something?

The Yahoo default is 22 weeks. In my league, I went with 21 weeks. A) it made for a perfect schedule (3 matchups vs each of your 5 division rivals and 1 matchup vs each of the 6 teams from the other division) and B) I wanted to get rid of Week 25. In recent years I have seen too many title matchups ruined due to players resting the final week.

Anyway, in my league I purposely made a quirky schedule. Weeks 18 and 21 feature the same matchups. It worked out brilliantly. Six teams will make the playoffs. Here are the standings. Below that are the three great matchups.

    Code:
Rank Team W-L-T Pct Div GB Last Week Waiver Budget Moves
    Alien Division
    2. The Whole F'in Show 92-69-9 .568
    5. Strange Brew 83-77-10 .518
    6. The Thing In The Jar 73-82-15 .474
    7. Mushroom Balloons 77-87-6 .471
    8. Whirling Dervish 72-85-13 .462
    10. theShow 71-92-7 .438

    Sasquatch Division
    1. 2 Uptons 1 Cup 107-52-11 .662
    3. Mandalay Bay 99-62-9 .609
    4. yanks 86-73-11 .538
    9. Gold Ranger 73-92-5 .444
    11. Warriors 64-95-11 .409
    12. THUNDER 66-97-7 .409
Weeks 18 and 21 will feature these battles-
The Whole F'in Show vs Strange Brew for 1st place in the Alien Division
2 Uptons 1 Cup vs Mandalay Bay for 1st place in the Sasquatch Division
The T.I.T. Jar vs Mushroom Balloons- these two matchups may determine the 6th and final playoff spot

Because The T.I.T. Jar and Mushroom Balloons face off in Weeks 18 and 21, teams like Gold Ranger and Whirling Dervish have it rough. GR and WD have to root for a 10-10 tie or close to it for the two Jar vs Balloons games. If either Jar or Balloons wins big, then Dervish or Ranger are going to have a hard time getting past that team.

What I am getting at here is that the schedule can be big. If you, as a commissioner, have the ability to create your own schedule, it is a no brainer to do it. Also, quirk it up so long as it is otherwise fair.

My powerless team (my leading HR hitters are Gaby Sanchez and Vernon Wells; each have hit 12 home runs for me thus far) is right there in the playoff race. My team was 18-39-3 and then improved to 21-44-5 before I started to have any success. I am awful in HR, RBI, and AVG but am good enough in R, SB, W, SV, K, ERA and WHIP.

After a rough start, it has turned out to be a good league. It has an auction and salaries and we think that adds to the fun.

I wrote all this pretty much as advertising as there will be one spot open for 2012. TGG poster Vorrecht quit the league in May after a 34-44-2 start. Mushroom Balloons replaced him, is highly competitive (as you can see the team remains 10 games under .500 but it took a few weeks before Balloons could fix the roster; he's performed much better than did Vorrecht), and is hilarious. Sadly, he is only an interim manager.

It ends early because each playoff round is 2 weeks. So the last 6 weeks of the season are for the playoffs.

Something that could work for 2012:

22 week season(everyone plays each other twice) with only 4 playoff teams.

Interesting. Yahoo used to have the title matchups set for 2 weeks. Now it is back to 1. I don't recall if I had the option for a 2-week final. I definitely like the 1st and 2nd round battles to only be 1 week. As for the final, 1 or 2 weeks doesn't matter to me.

I was just messing around anyway.

You had your bye locked up weeks ago.

My team is heading into the playoffs cold and limping. I know I'll be done round 1. When was the trade deadline?
