And if Wilson can live up to his first round pick potential we will be tougher to pass on than last year
Good point, although that was the idea of a trade. The restructures for Nnamdi were acknowledged by all. That was for whatever initial cap hit his $12 million average salary would have demanded. Since then, we've committed $13.5 million in average salary. I'd imagine those restructures will still have to take place. If that includes Scott and Pace, we'll be left with only a Sanchez restructure, Bryan Thomas' expiring contract, and a Cotchery cut to free up significant space and battle contract escalation next year. Should be interesting.
Best part about this is I reloaded this site all day for news.. then I'm on the Rangers board on HF in the NFL thread and I see the news break there lol
We can't afford to bring Pool back. At this point, it may be most likely that we proceed with our roster as is.
I trust our coaching staff, but Pool seemed to really elevate his game after Leonhard went down. I think he would have an excellent season for us this year - but we likely cannot afford him...
If we resign Pool it means Edwards was the only one really left out and from the looks no team is banging down his door.
I am so happy this deal finally went through. I feel like I can breathe easy right now. I like Kyle Wilson, but the thought of him starting this year as our #2 made me feel so uneasy. Now all we need to do is get Pool and Ellis back and we'll be good to go!
I hear Arizona is interested in him. I think Braylon and his associate has some price-dropping to do before anyone drops by. I still like St. Louis...Carolina and possibly San Francisco.
how bout our depth @ OLB? great move re-upping CRO & our team is back in the mix of the elite but I think there's a few more minor moves left. (granted were pretty sure the big cat & ihedigbo are in talks to come back as well) *i wonder what Vegas thinks our super bowl odds are now!!
4 mil/yr less than Scrabble's deal, 2 mil/yr less than Jonathan Joseph's. Certainly seems fair and maybe does include a little hometown discount in the end anyway.
Contract seems very reasonable. Glad to have Cro back in the fold. Tanny FTW! He comes into this offseason $1 mil over the cap and ends up keeping Cro, Santonio, and signing Braylon...job well done.
Just woke up a checked twitter on my itouch - very relieved to see the twats that cro has signed especially as the first one I saw was about buchanon coming in for a visit Edit: it also makes me feel much better about the second round pick for a rental issue
