from what it seemed like to me, braylon edwards priced himself out and im sure there was some behind the scenes reasoning for not bringing him back.

The behind-the-scenes reasoning is called Plaxico Burress.

We're loaded now in the WR dept. Time to move on to other needs.

Rumors have Braylon headed to Arizona now. If that happens, I would not be upset. Miami or New England? Yikes.

I posted this in the free agency thread. It sounds like he was never coming back.

Agree. I believe Burress can come close to Edwards' production last season. I don't think it's out the question that he will have 900 receiving yards and somewhere around 8 TDs. Holmes, Cotch, Plax, and our rookies are probably a top 5 WR corps in the NFL. Also, Chansi Stuckey is still available in FA if the Jets feel the need to add an above average 4th/5th WR.

I don't expect Cheddar Plax to match Edwards' yardage from last season, but I can easily see him having over 8 touchdowns.

The Jets can stretch the field with Holmes and Cotchery (and hopefully Keller,) but I suspect Burress is being brought in mainly to work the red zone.

Plax just needs to get open in the endzone and catch a few jump balls. The Jets probably won't be asking him to be a deep threat.

The red zone is for loading and unloading, there is no parking in the white zone...

Anyway, seems BE was a diva that many in the org. could live without. Sounds like Burress pre-bullet in the leg/prison time.

I'm guessing the Jets are gonna get a hungry talented receiver with something to prove. And he has never dropped passes the way BE has.

I would've rather have seen yous guys get BE back...

i really liked him as a player but between getting the d.u.i. in a contract year and still not being able to keep himself out of trouble while waiting to get signed somewhere shows why he isnt being brought back. he is going to catch a suspension soon enough.

Maybe we can wait for him to get drunk and sign him for the vet minimum. Shouldn't be too long...... or Rob Turner could fight him for a contract.
