I don't understand how this guy can handle every day life if this is the way he feels about the Jets.
The Eagles now that they have shored up their defense have 3 big advantages. 1. A top QB 2. They play in the NFC. Take any NFC team last year and out them in the AFC and the odds would have been against them making the playoffs. Look at who the Jets had to play in the playoffs last year. Manning, Brady and Rothlesberger. I doubt any playoff team has ever had a tougher 3 game schedule. NFC teams get to play the Seahawks, Bears, Saints and Falcons. A much easier less tiring route to the SB. 3. 2 games vs. 3 games The Eagles have a much better chance of winning their division than the Jets. They don't have to deal with a 14-2 dominant team like the Pats every year. Based on the above three yes, the Eagles have a much better chance to go to the SB. But put any of the AFC contenders, Jets, Ravens, Pitt, NE, Indy, or SD in the NFC and they would immediately have as good or a better chance than the Eagles.
"Eagles have better shot to win it all" --> sounds way better than "I just wanted the longest/biggest contract". Doubt the Jets were gonna give him that much $$ for 5 years. Everyone talks about winning but in the end ... it's all about the money. No need to search deep & try to find complex answers/solutions.
Vick>Sanchez Thats prob why. Also maybe cause the NFC is worse. IDK im just throwing out possible reasons but immediately thats what i thought.......The Jets are better than the Eagles
Despite never exhibiting any level of intelligence or wit in your posts, I am still disappointed this is the best you could come up with. I'm not certain you are even a Jets fan, because you post with all the head up your ass quality of a Pats or Fins troll.
Eagles have strong defense...also a lot of new parts -- never know what happens there. My issue is i don't think Vick puts together back to back career years now that the pressure is on and he is the starter from day 1. Like Farve 2 years ago -- monster season and came back down to earth (lots of INTs forced passes etc) . I see Vick reverting back to what he was in Atlanta.
Eagles O-line got the most mobile QB in the league sacked 49 times last season, I don't see them winning rings until they fix that.
There is however a pretty good argument to be made that Vick in Atlanta was better than Sanchez. In his full seasons in ATL his QB ratings were: 81.6. 78.1, 73.1, 75.7. Sanchez's two years: 63.0, 75.3, Sanchez ran for 105 and 106 yards. Vick 777.902,597,1039. Vick had a 1.41:1 TD to Int ratio, Sanchez has a 0.88:1 ratio. Now I think we all expect Sanchez to improve, but even if Vick takes a big step back he is still a viable championship QB.
Thread fail. It doesn't matter what any of us think about the Eagles. Aso wanted to go there. Plus, its over. Get over it. Add in that nobody will know which team is better until January. Let's play the games and stop worrying about rankings and opinions.
According to nfl.com they gave up 49 sacks in the regular season - although I think we're agreeing on the main point!
