I dont know if you are being serious or not but that is a move I have been saying to make.

He has the first step/speed to be a pure pass rusher in this D.

His size is close to Ware, Woodley etc....he has smooth hips and might actually be that pass rusher we have looked for.

people are going to say he wants a payday, well make the trade and tell him if you can stand up and play OLB this year we will work something out with you next year...

Hell if Wade phillips can convert Williams then I think Rex can convert Osi

    He made it up.

We gave Cro an offer, but were battling it out with the Raiders for him.

And he might want to return to the West Coast so who knows, he never seemed like a guy who wants to win first anyway.

Now the Jets are closing in on a deal for their free-agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie.

I mentioned yesterday that a trade for Umenyiora wouldn't surprise me. Have I heard anything? No, I haven't.

Oakland is the competition? Lol Crazy Al hates the Jets watch that maniac offer a bigger contract than what Aso got.

I felt like the whole Aso thing was just a set up to get money free'd up so they could rape up on cro.

It been on a few networks that overall Aso wanted to sign with dallas but ended with eagles due to SB chances.

His agent had to know we would be backed in to a corner (pun intended) once Aso was gone.

The Giants making a trade with the Jets? I don't see it.

Furthermore, I don't think Umenyiora would fit the Jets scheme well. He'd be a 3-4 end with the Jets. The scheme would prevent him from excelling at what he does best and that is rushing the passer. In my opinion, Umenyiora is not capable of playing OLB in a 3-4 defense.

Wow I would give KW a shot and sign Braylon before I would pay Cro that kind of money.

no, he's a 4-3 guy and is going to want a new contract. I can't see getting him being a good move considering how thin we are at CB without Cro. The real worry is that if the pats are moving to a 4-3 this year they have the cap room and extra picks to go get him.

    Absolutely not.

Far too much risk in a pick like this. A 4th and 6th is the max value id be willing to part with for em.

Im truly not convinced he can make it as an olb for us

Aso held us hostage because his agent played the jets to get more for Cro. Thought Joseph would be the guy we went after for CB

I would offer a 3rd rounder. Take it or leave it.

Osi is a weird fit in our defense. I might go a 4th that could move up to a 3rd, but I'm sure someone else would give more.

Jets gave a 3rd that turned into a 2nd for Cromartie. Osi is a better player.
