RichCimini Rich Cimini Jets plan, according to source: By committing "only" $3mil for No. 2 WR pos, they have more to spend on No. 2 CB -- i.e. Cromartie. #Jets Not really enthusiastic at the sound of this but we'll see... PS: JennyVrentas Jenny Vrentas Offer to Cromartie may have come earlier in wkend, maybe not long after Jets lost on Nnamdi. But reporting now, when I learned abt it. #nyj
3 minutes ago - by Eric Gilmore - Report: Jets make offer to Cromartie The Jets have made an offer to CB Antonio Cromartie, according to the Star-Ledger. The five-year veteran signed a one-year deal with the Jets in 2010 after four years with the Chargers. After losing CB Nnamdi Asomugha to the Eagles, the Jets need a solid corner across the field from CB Darrelle Revis. Jets RapidReports
@GeigerGeigerMy jets snap backs get in tomar just in time, thanks to @Sneakerpolitics Not that I ever know what the fuck he's talking about
I know we don't have Cro yet, but who here wouldn't have been happy 2 weeks ago knowing we could have Holmes, Plax, and Cro this year? Hell, we were talking about being fortunate to just have Holmes.
He's a beast, I wouldn't mind seeing him in Gotham Green so long as he puts winning before $. Can always use another LB, and this would be a better option than Roth.
This is why people need to be patient and not jump to conclusions. The attitude around here on Friday was disgraceful. PATIENCE.
That guy lost what little credibility he had left on Friday. I immediately unfollowed him on Twitter the second Aso signed with the Eagles.
From the Star-Ledger: This morning, the Jets agreed to terms with receiver Plaxico Burress, giving quarterback Mark Sanchez another weapon after re-signing Santonio Holmes. But Burress' money is not expected to affect the money the Jets will be able to give Cromartie, per the person -- which is what the Jets objective was in securing a second receiver. So it sounds like Braylon was actually plan C if either Holmes left or every single starting corner with a pulse spurned us.
