If we signed Lawson and Miller I'd pee myself a little.

This how is he at blocking. All we ever heard about him were the dick swinging matches Raiderjoe used to have over Miller/Keller.....

He's a better all around tight end than Keller. Nobody can dispute that. They'd be a fantastic TE duo who complemented each other.

What limitations? The guy has had 50+ REC and 600+ yds for three straight seasons (including 778 and 805 in 07/08), and has never had under 40 REC in his career. Seems like a sound pass-catching TE, especially when you consider he was playing for Oakland.

LOL. I never absorbed anything that douchenozzle ever posted. His analysis was height, weight, and 40 time.

Red Zone limitations, although I think he was better in that regard this past season. Again, though, it's a reflection on his QBs.

IIRC, there may have been an injury last season as well.

I wonder how much Miller and Lawson (or Roth) would be worth...

Well said. I am ALL about this right now. Not sure if it's realistic, but I love the idea.

    well for Miller

Gates 7 per Clark 6 per so hopefully you could get Miller at 4-5 per with some nice guaranteed money

    Lawson/Roth

couldnt tell you but rotational OLB's id imagine 2.5-5 per depending on any teams involved or how savy the agent is

then again i could be completely wrong obviously but thats just my guess

its realistic tanny has a phone right?

the question is do the jets think its a good idea.

the OP are the only two scenarios i can think of that would make me feel comfortable with this offseason

unless tanny pulls out the magic trade wand

Coach K, is there any evidence the Jets are going after Miller or is this an idea you proposed?

If anyone can make it work Shotty can
but it will be the most different offense we have had since he got here

2 TE sets will help the running game alot and making them account for DK on every drive whether he is on the line or lined up at WR

It's stemming from a Raiders fan who said the Jets were talking to Miller, but he latter squashed his own rumor.

I doubt we go after Miller. The Jets are grooming Cumberland for that role. With the way Bart Scott talked about him during the offseason, I expect to see him as TE2 this year.

BTW, I've like the idea of playing more 2-TE set, for awhile now. What the negatives that Couch K alluded to, especially when you take into account that both TE's we'd have out there are pass catching types.
