I cant believe it has come down to us hoping we can get cro for 8 million a year. 8 million!!! That is crazy!!! If it wasn't for Revis' contract the thought of hoping to land a top 15 top cb for 8 mil a year would have been thought to be asinine. For the going rate of top corners these days 8mil a year isnt terrible, but in the grand scheme of things I really dont see this being worth it.
When I saw that the Jets lost out in the Nmandi sweepstakes on the the big screen tv in the strip club, I started to cry uncontrollably. Cro should not be sniffing anything over $6M from the Jets. If that's what other teams are offering then let him walk and go after Carr. If we lose Cro, Pool, Digs, and Coleman we will need to sign at least 2 DBs to replace them, assuming we can fill in the other 2 with Cook and ?. DBs currently on the roster: Revis KDub Cole Leonhard Lowery Smith In addition to Carr who else is would make sense? I guess I'm still amazed that T-Rex didn't go hard after some of the better UDFA options in the secondary.

Lets not forget, we didnt get to the Superbowl last year because Pitt punched us (and Rex) right in the fuckin mouth and ran teh ball right down our fuckin assholes. this is perfect....bring in Carr and find a big time pass rusher to trade for. Let Carr, and K Dub battle it out, shit bring in Clements on the cheap if we need too. What did Joseph get from the Texans, thats what Cro is probably going to get.
Problem is you are dealing with the same reps as N.A. and if they had agreed to a deal with the Jets and then walked away, well then you already know how they do business. So while Cro is and excellent fail back option you have to wonder if he told his agents, "fuck that, they did want me first, use them to up the moneys I can get, highest bidder wins." As other have said, 6 to7 million high but fair, anything higher, just walk away/ I think with what has happened over the past few days, the Jets nned to change direction on defense. There is bound to be a very solid pass rusher either put up for trade (2nd or 3rd rounder) or cut for youth or cap space that the Jets can pick up. That is where the focus should be, see if we can aquire Carr services and lets get KDub going. Time to stop over paying for slightly above average players like they were superstars. It's as simple as come to the Jets and get a fair market value for you services and win. Go to the other teams make a ton of money and always ejoy the playoffs in your nice comfortable home on that big screen TV....
