http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...ewhere-new-york-jets-left-gaping-hole-defense Gotta give Tanny a lot of credit for getting all four of those done - seems likely if Aso had signed, Sanchez would've restructured and we would've been able to afford Braylon too. Now, who knows how much room we'll have if Sanchez restructures and Harris signs long-term?
"the Jets may find it awkward to go back to Cromartie" Cimini is retarded, I'm sure Cromartie understands that 32 teams in the NFL would prefer Asomugha over him....I don't think it would be "awkward" to be Plan B to Nnamdi Asomugha.
My issue with Cromartie is he wants nothing but $$$, and I really dont want to go into a fucking bidding war with the Raiders. If (or possibly when) we end up paying Cromartie OVER 9 million a year that would leave me feeling completely bitter about this offseason. If we could get Cromartie for even have a half reasonable number that move would be fucking awesome, but im not counting on it. Eitherway we need a safety now
Chris fucking Carr. Better fit for the system. Cheaper, loaded with potential, I think he will outperform Cro this year. He is a rex guy, and wants a chance to compete for a starting job. He will have the chance to best out Wilson this year. So we have all the things he wants... money may be the only realy object, but at half the price of Nnamdi, I think its the best fit overall.
Restructuring works out well for aging vets. Usually it means more guaranteed money in their pockets via bonuses and almost never takes any money out of their hands for this year.
I still expect Tanny to pull off a trade, using a 2nd or 3rd round pick or something to bring in an impact kind of player.
hopefully we can now bring cro and braylon back with the money saved id go to war with last years core again
