Of course everyone thinks the Pats are AFC favs now... All because they picked up a malcontent and a wash-up, while we got burnt on Aso... ESPN is going to be unbearable until the season starts.
Samuel may be the defensive home run threat the Jets need. Not sure if Ryan can implement him into some type of hybrid role where he acts as a safety. I don't trust him as a cover corner but he could generate turnovers if he plays opposite Revis.
I don't want Samuel. He takes way too many chances just trying to get INT's. Yes he gets many, but he also gets burned a lot.
In all honestly, Nnamdi was good, but I personaaly think he is over rated. Now you may think im saying that because he didnt sign with us, but I have felt that way all along. He played in a very weak divison, and there was 6 of the games he played in. I feel as though in a division as tough as the West is, His true colors will come out, and he will be burnt. We Have the BEST CORNERBACK in the League. Period. We Made it to the AFCCG 2 years in a row without him, However, this year, we will be making it to the Superbowl without him. I think Samuel or Cro FIts our style more so than Asokdlsugbsduiaobgfma
I'd rather sign Cro then give up a pick for Asante, but I can see Cro going somewhere else though with all these teams still having cap room. If we lose Cro, I'd definitely give a late-round pick for Samuel.
no, this board is going to be unbearable with people whining about the defending division champ adding a few players and still being considered the favorites.
cap numbers next three years (roughly) 9.5m, 9.5m, 11.5m edit: also I really dont want to be giving up draft picks.
I still prefer the nickname from the Pats fan... The Octodad. 1) thats's pretty damn funny. 2) the pat's fan blew the name and needs to work on his Latin.
I don't know why I'm posting this in here, a pretty retarded excuse for a discussion but: Eagles are hurting at OL, LB, and DT
No to Samuel, right now, Tanny better be on his knees with Cro in one hand and Braylon in the other...
I saw their there depth chart, they don't even list a LB on the right side. Dallas looks to be going more vertical as do the Giants (assuming they bring Plax back and don't re-sign Bradshaw) so I can see their reasoning to a point but you're right they do have more pressing needs. Maybe they trade Samuel for a need. I would love for some of the Aso $$ to now go to a safety. I'm not sure who's out there in FA that's any good but that is a need for us now in addition to receiver and CB.
Cro burned his bridge back to NY. No fucking way in hell he's coming back. With that cleared up, Asante Samuel is worse option than Cro. Fuck him too. I seriously think Jets should have gone after Johnathan Joseph instead of Nnamdi.
