    Also, Brunell has had some serious money issues recently. I can't see him not staying with the Jets over money, unless, simply, the Jets do not think he is up to the job. He's not in much of a position to negotiate for much more than the veteran minimum.

    I wasn't assumig he was cut, I was assuming he would be staying with the team.

    I've heard nothing about Brunell being cut. I think his value goes beyond backup qb. He's a valued mentor to Sanchez. I say keep him one more year and hope McElroy can beat out O'Connell.

    Nobody wants to see the back up QB in a regular season game because that would mean Sanchez is hurt,that's why.

    Brunell helped us last year. He actually looked pretty sharp for a senior citizen. If we can we should def hold on to him for one more year.

    Ehh, she's not bad.

    Sanchez should pull a Perrish Cox and get that bitch pregnant - it will increase his chances of having a son that can live up to his legacy.

    obviously. but you still wanna have a guy that you can trust to run the offense efficiently and with as few mistakes as possible... aka not Jake Delhomme

    I agree... vet min probably. Unless maybe he wants to play for a team that's nearer to where his family lives?

    Brunell is a guy way past his playing capabilities. later old timah

    Brunnell's Jets tenure will be forever known for the incident when Sanchez put his boogers on Brunnell. Classy guys taking one for the team.

    QB Mark Brunell released, according to #Jets announcement. Unless he re-signs for lower salary, Mark Sanchez will be crushed.

    Wow.. I wouldn't rule out him being back.. but wasn't he already on a minimum salary?

    No, he was making a little over a million dollars this season.

    He'll most likely be re-signed to a cheaper deal.
