Absolutely but with Nnamdi we will almost certainly be getting a discount, after all he said he wants to become a famous actor and play for a contender and all that bullshit. Where as Cromartie already said fuck you guys show me the money, which means hes surely on Al Davis's speed dial already. Truthfully Id bet Cromartie getting 8-9 million a year, whereas id be BEYOND SHOCKED if we paid over 12 million a year for Aso, potentially getting him for as little as 10-11million a year. Eitherway I dont see 3-4 million a year buying us more of an impact player than the jump from Cro to Aso, after all Cro did get burnt for quite a few 100 + yard games last year
Everyone is just trying to use this circus as an effort to increase their number of twitter followers.
Not necessarily. If it was all about the money, he would have already signed with one of the teams offering more. He and his agent are trying to build as much of a market to make the Jets pay as much as possible.
We better put some sugar on that and a few sorry's for hanging them out instead of trying to land them first.
You've been sitting and following this thread the entire time. I'm sure you've also been scouring the internet for tweets, etc, or anything having to do with Asomugha. Get off your high horse.
Jamie Dukes keeps saying we should get Ray Edwards. I hate this guy. Faulk way smarter than Dukes and Sapp COMBINED
Cimini backpedals on Twitter when someone else mentions that Cover 2 teams don't pay a lot for corners, and why would NA want to play in a Cover 2 scheme, anyway, where corners aren't as valued?
I've followed the thread. Yes. I don't touch twitter. Twitter is gay. TheJetsBlog.com has twitter updates so I don't have to go on twitter. I can be on a high horse because I don't sit here and post about how sad I'll be if Nnamdi doesn't come here. If he doesn't come here the Jets look elsewhere for a CB and then they can focus on what I care more about - front 7 players and depth. This is a fucking luxury signing.
I was wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure Raheem Morris is a Cover 2 disciple and that system will be in place during his tenure there. It's possible Aso could exclusively play man while they roll coverage in other areas.... Using Aso in zone would be a waste of his ability.
