If it wasn't about $$, Aso would have signed already. If the Jets offered $11.5-12 million, plus the chance to win a championship and be part of the best corner tandem of all-time, and he's still unsure.....it's a cash grab. No idea if they can, but at this point, I'd rather see the Jets take a shot at Cro/Edwards rather than MAYBE getting Aso. It's gonna blow if, for example Cro signs elsewhere while we are waiting, then Aso goes to Houston. Ahh, who knows. Gotta figure Tanny knows something we don't. The waiting sucks though.
If he only wanted big money, he would've agreed to the Texans already. He wants to sign with us, he's just trying to get as much as he can from us. He knows he'll get less, but he's going to bleed us for sure. If he waits through the weekend to sign, that would be strange I think. He's going to want to get into the system as soon as possible.
Your right I am just getting a little bitter. As usual when someone preaches/hints at that it isn't about the money for them it generally is all about the money. What is sad and a little ironic is given the state of this economy and it's uncertainty for the foreseeable future I can't say that I wouldn't be doing exactly what Nnamdi is doing right now. The way things are in the country and generally the world at large right now the really is no such thing as too much money.

Well if the post below yours is an indication, and that he's ready to make his decision in the next 48 hours, then yeah he probably is going to meet with the teams. Waiting 2 more days for his decision will suck for sure.. But on the bright side, how many guys have met with Rex and told him they would rather play somewhere else?
