This fucking guy isnt going to sign with the Texans. Texans have never been to the fucking playoffs, and Nnamdi is 30. This is Nnamdi's last contract, and it will cover the rest of his career..in his prime. I dont see how he doesn't come here.

Warren Sapp and Jamie Dukes on NFL Network are saying signing Nnamdi would be a bad move, because they need a pass rusher like Ray Edwards first. Marshall Faulk says Edwards isn't a great pass rusher because he had the Williams' and Jared Allen on that D line with him. There isn't an elite pass rusher out there, so might as well go for Nnamdi.

What a surprise.. Warren Sapp looking like a complete moron and Marshall Faulk being the smart analyst. I'm shocked.

Ray Edwards?? Are you kidding me? Where exactly is he supposed to play on this defense? Warren Sapp is a fool. If Lamarr Woodley were available, this would be a different story and I'd tend to agree we should go for the pass rusher. But he's not, and nobody nearly as good is.

Said WE should get Edwards? Is that a joke? Maybe the Texans, but certainly they weren't saying we should go for Edwards over Nnamdi.

Plus, it looks like Cleveland is making a run at Edwards.

Just watched La Canfora reiterate what is the current theme....Namdi is in no hurry what so ever. This just screams it is all about the money as some of those here is in this thread have been saying.

What is worse is by getting the gist of the Texan fans, their beat writers and such it appears the Texans FO are apparently more than willing to stand by and wait on Nnamdi something we can't really do.

Right now I am starting to come to the opinion as other here have stated that if we haven't heard anything by tomorrow it is time to cut bait and move onto other pressing needs.

Has Edwards ever played as a LB? Edwards and Dukes can suck-start a shotgun. That second sentence has nothing to do with what they said.

all hes doing is making the texans break big bank by threatening to go to the jets.

im sure he'll be a texan. if the money is that different, im sure Holmes "hometown discount" was about 1 mil a yr we got him with guaranteed money.

at this point hes prolly able to make almost 4 Mil more a yr with the texans.

the question really is, how bad does he want to win?

    we'll find out

and alot of you will be dissappointed

If he doesn't sign it would be a huge let down but we shouldn't wait past tomorrow. We need to resign edwards and cro/joseph if aso passes on us. It would be irresponsible to continue in the aso sweepstakes after tomorrow

Yeah, yeah, he wants the money but don't forget that he wants to win. Houston is rebuilding their defense, which means he'll have to wait a few more years with them. Not to mention Kubiak is on the cutting board, which is the total opposite of where Rex is.

Yeah, he wants money, but don't underestimate his desire to play for an established coach/system as well as wanting to win a Super Bowl.

The cynicism is getting a little ridiculous. He can't be signed until tomorrow, so he's going to wait as long as he can. Fuck, I'd probably do the same.

As much as I would love to sign him, if this stretches into tomorrow afternoon we really should move on. Training camp is starting in a few days and ideally we'd like to have our team set up and ready to go before then, and there are still plenty of holes that need filling..

WR- Edwards or another vet like Moss, Plax
S- Pool, Smith or someone else?
    CB- Cromartie, Joseph, Carr?
    OL- Robert Turner?
    DE- Shaun Ellis?

Lot of work to be done in a short amount of time. Plus you know Tanny is not opposed to making a splash with a trade.

Asomugha seemed like the guy that would try to wrap this up quickly to not keep teams hostage.

I honestly believe he is just trying to get as much as he can. hope im wrong

reality has to set in some time.

the potential of the best cb duo in nfl history is beyond intriguing. this buzz has been exciting, but i find it hard to believe someone who raped al davis pockets his whole career will suddenly want something other than money.

i hope im wrong (as long as we dont pay too much)

Yeah but if the team isn't moving on to other players until this situation is resolved, he's putting whichever team he signs with at a disadvantage. I'm sure he doesn't really care though, but still..
