I think probably, at age 30, and widely acknowledged as the best CB in the game over the last 5 years, his ego is fine. I don't think he's going to make a decision based on where he's more likely to be thrown at. Hell, he's made a lot of comments saying how proud he is that they never throw at him.
yeah, I'm following like 15 different websites. Schefter tweeted Brad Smith saying "everything in New York was contingent on Nnamdi Asomugha" (paraphrase). Looks like we're all in for sure
Brandon Manumaleuna was released by the Bears today. He'd be a good fit in Hartsock's former role. The guy's bigger than some offensive linemen.
Nothing to do with ego....it's about the joy of the game....nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of a ball being thrown your way. The more throws he gets to make a play on, the more he's enjoying the game....
If we do sign Aso, these are the guys I'd love to see back for cheap. 1)DE Shaun Ellis 2)S Brodney Pool 3)S Eric Smith 4)S James Ihedigbo 5)CB Drew Coleman
The Pats just picked up Ochocinco. "According to ESPN Boston - the #Patriots have acquired Chad Ochocino after he restructured his deal."
They lost Moss and replaced him with Chad Johnson. Chad and Albert? They're having one hell of an offseason thus far. Makes it even more important we sign Aso. Revis on Welker with Aso on Johnson. We'll still have a tough time with Gronk and Hernandez, but we need to sign Aso as of right now.
Eh. Johnson is 33, and coming off a pretty mediocre year. No reason to think he still has it. I think this is more the culmination of Belichick's crush on him. The only non-Pats player Belichick has ever said good things about has been Ocho.
He still put up 67 catches, 831 yards and 4 TD's last season. Lets be honest here... Palmer isn't Brady. He could end up having a monster season with NE. The addition of Johnson will also help Welker and their TE's in more ways than one. Chad can still take the top off the defense, allowing those guys to feast underneath. Speaking of the Patriots, he put up 12 catches, 159 yards and 1 TD against NE last season. He put up 4 catches for 41 yards against the Jets. Anyone who doesn't think Chad has gas left in the tank is crazy. Tom Brady could help rejuvenate this mans career for at least another two years.
Namath talks free agency http://jetsrant.com/2011/07/28/joe-namath-talks-free-agency/ He would also love to see Drew Colmen resigned
pats are making alot of good moves and were sitting there doing nothing i understand we want aso but we cant sit back forever while players are getting gobbled up
Really? We are all in on the most coveted free agent of the year. Most of our players are waiting. We lost one, Brad Smith. We dont need Fat Al, old ass Chad Johnson or take the money and run Bush. None of those guys are Rex Ryan guys. Well maybe Chad.
