    Adam Schefter (10am today)

Jets are more than $10 million UNDER salary cap, according to two NFL capologists. Might make the Jets the favorite to land Nnamdi Asomugha.

Cro is the backup plan. If Tanny didn't want Cro we'd hear some statement such as "Not interested".

Right now? He could be taking a dump or hooking up. I'll call him and tell him you want him to step up now.

Corners help on the outside, not the inside. Lowery and Leonhard aren't exactly the best safeties, to be honest they're not even close.

I don't think having the top corner tandem allows for a not so hot safety rotation.

Sure it does. Teams that have a great #1 WR and TE combo with a decent #2 can have Aso or Revis cover the TE the other cover the WR and take ur chance on the decent #2 beating Wilson

Pool was pretty good for us at safety. I haven't heard anything about him getting released.

He is a FA. He only signed a 1-year deal with us last season

This reported interest is making me a much less productive employee. I can't concentrate.

Some much shit flying around now that I don't think anyone has a firm grasp of what's going on.

I just think that it's like going after a hot girl when your back up plan is going after her roommate/sister.
It can work, but it's not the ideal situation.

Agreed, but only on the part where u say Lowery and Leonhard are not the best safeties. Average at best.

We did just fine last year having some below average talent at the two safety spots. We were 6th in passing yards allowed. And thats with Leonhard and Revis missing a lot of time. Not to mention, our rookie was the 2nd cb for part of the season.

Having Nnamdi would just mean our safeties wouldn't need to worry much about the top two WRs on opposing teams.

He's a free agent. I agree he was very good for us especially after Leonhard went down. I'd be fine with him and Leonhard as our starting safeties with Lowery and hopefully Eric Smith rotating in.

Yeah but with or without Aso we're gonna have a not so hot safety rotation. There's just not much out there.

Revis, Aso, Kyle on the nickel, D-lo at safety along with Leonhard and Pool/somebody we're not even thinking of yet. That's still a ridiculous pass defense.

while i don't disagree... I feel by the time aso makes a choice and we reshuffle our priorities, Landry will be gone somewhere...

If you can pull off the menajahtwa, you go for it.

That's what sucks about FA, you wait and wait for the player you covet, he doesn't sign and you lose the one you need.
