This. Bob is essentially a con man who relies on an age old trick that preys on the inherent frailty of the human condition. People WANT to believe what they WANT To believe. Bob just throws a bunch of shit out there knowing damn well that he is statistically assured to be right about plenty of things over time. He takes educated guesses on things using nothing more than logic and intuition. Then he goes from there and fills in the rest with obviously fabricated details. And what is the result this tactic? Gullible people selectively remember the times that Bob just happened to be right about some random news stories. So, then they apply the faulty logic of: "well, he was right about A and B, so he probably does actually have some sources and contacts that most of us don't because he's been right at least SOME of the time". But again, this is terrible thinking because, statistically speaking, we would ALL be right SOME of the time, without actually having any REAL sources.
Thinking from a Jets point of view, but perhaps the Texans are only in the lead, because they have offered the most $$? The media is most likely taking it that way. (obviously)
Exactly. Unless it came from his agent or Aso himself. We have no clue what is going through his head
He had a shot at winning in Chicago too. You're partially right with the analogy, I'm just saying Dwade was the clincher in that decision, as hopefully Revis will be in this one.
thats what everybody is hoping. Hoping that nnamdi's agents/ houston leaked that they offered the most money. So therefore the media believes Nnamdi to Houston is a lock. Hope for the Jets lies in the fact that we are hoping Nnamdi is using Houston to drive up the Jets offer. But if Mike T is smart, he stands pat. If Nnamdi wants to play for us, the money difference won't stop him. If he wants the money, then we would have to match a deal which would be suicide for us to do, in order to get him. That way it just isnt worth it.
How about not wasting a top draft pick on a corner from Boise State. Kyle Wilson needs to step up NOW or we need to cut our losses. I don't see us getting a CB valued as high as Aso unless he is willing to take less $$$ and have a chance to play for a championship. We still need another decent WR weapon and if we cap out with Aso, there won't be anyone left.
As much as I'm balls deep in the Aso sweepstakes, I can't help but think resigning Cro and saving some coin makes more sense right now. Signing Aso could very well screw us in 2 years. Again, all depends on Cro's price but I'm thinking he's around 8 or 9 per at most.
absolutly fucking stupid post. he's been in the league 1 god damn year and you want to cut him? fucking stupid....
Kyle Wilson will be a very good corner IMO, and if we sign Aso, along with Revis, this is Rex's dream defense. We need to make this signing.
Wilson has played one season, how can you say that we need to "cut our losses" with him already? I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'd be perfectly happy with getting a solid nickel back with the 29th pick in the draft. Wilson does not need to be a star to provide value for the Jets.
Problem is Cro won't be signed till aso is. If the jets don't sign aso he is getting 14 from Houston and then Cro has a value of around 10 which won't save that much money but it will save some. Just an FYI... Cro and aso have the same agent.
Seems that Lomabrdi is the one that is behind the Houston rumor, And a big part of his reasoning is because TX does not have a state income tax..... Uh, sorry- not buying that as a legit reason. Is Aso wants to play on a big stage, NY is the only option. He's got fuck you money for life already.
I was pleased with him too. Won't mind having him back at all. He just won't be much cheaper than aso at this point.
