Cimini reporting that the Texans have moved into the Aso lead with an offer of $12-$14 mil per....guess he cares more about money than winning. No way the Texans compete for a title any time soon.
So Cimini is just repeating what he saw Mike Lombardi tweet.. that's what's annoying about following these things on twitter. One guy tweets he "hears" something and 15 others retweet it or repeat it as their own info. Btw, maybe I missed it.. but is italianobloodline or whatever a former poster here who was banned?
He had a good post here last night. I thought he finished his paperwork and someone picked up his name.
It always comes down to money. Have fun going 8-8 or 7-9 again. Teams wont throw his way but they will still run through their swiss cheese line and attack their other dog DB's
Houston isn't a joke of a franchise, so they always have a decent shot of making the playoffs. He'll likely play in a few playoff games if he chooses Houston.
No reason to get upset if Nnamdi goes to Houston. We still can get Rogers or Cromartie and we still have our 1st round pick from Last year who will need to step up.
This. It would have been lovely to get Aso', but there is money to spend elsewhere, on multiple positions. We'll see what happens though.
With JJ Watt and Mario Williams, is it really going to be a swiss cheese line? It's actually a bit embarrassing that their defense has been as bad it has. Okoye is supposed to be pretty good, Mario Williams, Brian Cushing, Democo Ryans. It's a goddam team of pro bowlers than can't play over there.
Didn't the Jets already offer up 12.5 ? You going to turn down a bonified SB contender for 1 or 2 mil a year, probably only 50% of it guaranteed ? Seems fucked up to me....
No one knows what anyone's offered for sure, its all speculation and supposed sources. We could have offered a ham sandwich for all we know. Everyone's just passing along rumors. The only thing that's probably somewhat true is that the Jets and Texans are in the running to sign him. Beyond that, only the people in the room know.
I know others have posted this before but isn't a contract in NY worth more than Houston in endorsement deals? I mean aren't Revis/Aso comercials pretty much guaranteed? What kind of money are we talking about on these? Does anyone know what Revis makes in endoresments vs what Aso made in Oak? Or how does Romo endoresmetns compare to Eli Manning? Different class, but it would at least give you an idea of the % difference between Texas and NY. I guess the question is, is added endorsements a real consideration in total money?
