To win a Superbowl I think he'd take 1 million less. We're offering more than that. If you win it in New York with Revis on the other side you have a shot at immortality. A ring and a place in history. That's worth 2 million +.
Texans will be favorites to win the AFC South if they land Aso, so I don't understand the argument Aso won't win games if he chooses Houston. They'll be a playoff contender. So if he's getting more $$ from Houston it's not like he'd deciding to stay in Oakland for the rest of his career.
Imagine how great Mark Sanchez could become throwing against those 2 guys in practice every single week!!!
I'm not convinced the Colts don't start a downward slide, I know they were banged up last year but Manning isn't getting younger and if he misfires then the whole team does. I don't know that Houston beat them to the divisional title but I can see a split series. That said, I just looked at the Texans' schedule this year and it looks really fucking tough, so maybe they'll struggle to pick up the wins out of their division that they'd need for a wildcard.
The Texans are second fiddle to the Cowboys in Texas.. The Texans are always a decent team but they always blow it at the end of the season.. The Jets are in the playoffs almost every year and would be the team to beat if Aso signs with us... If he's smart, he'll sign with us... It makes perfect sense...
Idk why Nnamdi would want to go to the Texans for more money, he can already wipe his ass with 100 dollar bills for the rest of his life and he'll still have millions
Well, we usually blow it at the beginning or middle. We had the Quaid brothers until one of them fled to Canada Colts will be the favorite until Manning retires.
I can't keep refreshing the page. Screw this time for lunch. Hopefully there'll be good news in a bit.
I think that the Colts downward slide has already begun. Manning has always been the straw that stirs Indy's drink, but in the past they had guys like Harrison, Wayne, Mathis, Freeney, Brackett, Edge, and others in their primes--if Manning had a down game, they had other players who could step up and win games (and help Peyton get back on track if he was off to a bad start.) Plus, as much as I hate Tony Dungy his credentials as a top coach are pretty much unquestionable. Now Manning represents their only top player, and he's pretty much their coaching staff as well. That's a lot of pressure to put on one player. They're a 9-10 win team at best IMO (which might be good enough to win the AFC South, but it really might not be.)
As long as the Colts have Peyton Manning under center... They'll be favored to win the AFC South; Not the "Texans". The Colts are coming off a 10-6 season, the Texans? 6-10.
A new possibility just became available if the Nnamdi sweepstakes falls through. http://twitter.com/#!/JasonLaCanfora/status/96614251099205632
