If we get Aso and Bray, Tanny deserves a higher paycheck

Hearing Houston has moved into the lead for Nnamdi Asomugha—money will be in the 12-14 mill per year range...Revis makes 11.5 per year

You said it.. Only Tanny knows what is going on.

For once in my life I have ABSOLUTE trust in Jets Brass.

Any way it rolls we'll have a great team for this season.

Nnamdi wants cash more than winning if that's the case. That's his perogitive.

Let Rex have a chat, if he still says no...Braylon/Joseph.

Interesting. Didn't we hear that the Jets were prepared to offer $12million a year?

I'd prefer that. Those two combined will cost as much as scrabble.

  10. Well say I'm not wasting any more time on this crap.

I don't have anything against Aso personally...but I hope Houston chokes once again.

I think we've all known from day one that Houston would end up with the biggest offer for Asomugha. So of course they will be labeled as "in the lead" for him.

If he decides to leave money on the table and come to the Jets, we won't know that the Jets are the favorites until the second he signs the dotted line.

Didn't Aso say he doesn't mind taking less money to play in the right situation? Why is everyone losing hope just because the Texans are offering more money?

Texans have never made the playoffs and are on the verge of a complete coaching change. If it comes down to a difference of 1-2 million I'm confident Aso comes to the Jets as the advertising/endorsement revenue will make up for it. Texans do have a lot of talent on all sides of the ball though.

He's probably just weighing all his options.

would be interesting to see where the hell this damn thing goes. I really wish it would just resolve itself so we can either celebrate, or move on.

In the end though, its on Aso. He has to decide if he wants the most money, or if he wants to win.

If he wants the money, he will go to Texas. If he wants to win, he comes to NY. It's really that simple.

I think it's cuz we are Jets fans. Things don't work out a lot for us. I don't think the Texans are "leading" it's just that they offered the most money. NY will probly lead to more sponsors and event money so they actually may be equal. More jersey sales and everything can make a difference to close the gap and make him want to be a Jet

Do you all think that the Jets would offer more than $12million for Aso?

Yeah, I see this more as a ploy, but I could be wrong.
