If Moss decided he wanted to play and somehow we signed Aso I think I might explode.

    This is silly.

There's no rule that says "THE SECOND RECEIVER MUST BE TALL!"

i think alot of people are still holding some hope that Braylon comes back, if they sign Aso, then the second option at a cheaper rate would be Moss.

Even so, Ochocinco is still a bad WR, im not saying Moss is god but he is alot better than number 85

In order to win in today's NFL a tall receiver is necessary! and by tall i dont mean 6'5" but cotchery is maybeeee 6'1" and santonio doesnt reach 6 ft. see eli mannings career without plaxico....if we cannot retain braylon, moss or plax makes the most sense to compliment santonio

Disagreed. Ochocinco has become more of a possession WR in recent years. He'd be a good fit as our #2, with Santonio being the burner, and Cotch in the slot.

To be fair, nothing he really said there is wrong at all. It's true Sanchez is still inconsistent, we haven't done anything to address our poor pass rush, are very weak as of now at WR behind Santonio, and Greene hasn't been as great as we hoped after his '09 playoffs. It's just basically the "glass half empty" way of looking at the team, instead of the "glass half full" way we all see those problems (ie Sanchez will improve with experience and become more consistent, Nnamdi will improve the pass-rush just by his presence, we'll sign another WR, and Greene is going to have a big year). But either way, there's no way SF has more wins over the next two years than the Jets.

Jets, Randy Moss Have Mutual Interest 27th July, 2011 - 8:26 pm NFL.com - The Jets have interest in free-agent wide receiver Randy Moss.

There has been contact between the two sides.

New York coach Rex Ryan has a history with outspoken players, having coached Ray Lewis in Baltimore.

There is mutual interest, according to sources.

With all of this talk about needing a large wr.

Who did the colts, steelers, packers pats have at wr that was tall?

Im all for having a big body but its not 100% neccessary

It would be nice though, and look at their QBs (Manning,Big Ben, Rodgers and Brady) thats why they dnt need tall WRs

Sanchez's production and consistency was much better from year-1 to year-2. Why wouldn't he improve from year-2 to year-3? And what exactly is San Fran's QB situation?

Since when is Cotchery considered "nothing" or "weak"? And Keller? LT catching passes?

The pass-rush wasn't terrible nor was it good, and we beefed up the DL via the draft, so that should free up the edge-rush.

Our running game was, is, and will be solid. I don't see how anything says otherwise.

Funny you say that. I remember Revis saying Ocho was the toughest one to cover a few years back. Might not be the same player, but Rex has said in the past he would love to have Ocho on the team.

With the way the Pats used Aaron Hernandez, he was basically a giant WR for them.

But yeah, you don't need a huge WR, but it helps when you've got a QB who isn't super accurate yet. I love Mark, but he's not Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, or Ben just yet...

Randy Moss is about to become a Jet baby! The reason why we're going after Moss instead of Braylon? Because Aso is also on his way to New York.

This could end up being one hell of an offseason!
