That's what we said last year, as the fans complained about TEs burning us.

I'd rather have quality depth, sign some safeties, and go from there.

...which also means a lot of defensive TDs.

We could try Aso at safety

I will just way jump the fuckin gun here and look at matchups this year with teams that have 2 above average WR and how Nnamdi's presence will be huge. One of them may be seeing action agains TEs for some of these games.

    Cowboys - Austin and Bryant
Patriots - More Brady on this, but Welker and Branch (and Gronkowski)
    Chargers - Jackson and Gates
    Pats again
Broncos - (Llloyd and Royal or Thomas) Eddie Royal did eat us alive his rookie season
Chiefs - Bowe and McCluster (McCluster nothing special yet)
    Eagles - Maclin and Jackson
Giants - Manningham, Nicks, Cruz (though not elite unless he is playing us in the preseason) and possibly Smith

Mehta just Tweeted that Holmes contract will only count 2.45 mill against this years cap.

    All Praise Tanny.

Not to mention the fact that Harris and Thomas (if he's retained) are both pretty decent in coverage.

Congress needs to hire Tanny to fix the debt crisis.

Drew Coleman is gone, Smitty is gone, but we do have Lowery.
I want both these guys back.
That's exactly what happened last year though. Teams never threw at Revis when healthy and barely at Cro. They beat our 3rd, 4th and 5th coverage options.

Of course I would love to have Aso, but if we could've had Cro and Braylon I would have rather have had that.

Sanchez and Braylon play great together.

more like cromartie was picked on. do people not remember how many times he got burned last year on big plays? how about picked apart on short slants? solid player with great physical talent, but inconsistent and far from lock down.

that is not happening to asomugha. it's a completely different situation.

of course teams will have no choice but to attack the middle. we'll be able to help out. we're going to know where they're throwing the ball. to the TE or the slot receiver.

if they want to throw at revis and aso, good luck. i hope they throw that way. hello turnovers.

I realize Jet fans have Nnamdi Asomugha fever, if it comes true it'll be great.

I just have to have fath that Tanny will be able to fill out the rest of the roster with some decent players.

We saw how important that was last year when Revis was out/injured, and when we had 5-6 DBs out in a formation.

And we came one shitty half away from winning the AFC, so I can live with the "make their #4 receiver beat you" plan.

Amen. If we are worried about the teams 4th WR beating us, I can live with that. I hope teams plan on lining up in 4 wr every play. Good luck with that and Rex's blitzes.

You could put a bunch of fat middle-aged drunks in at safety and nickel corner and it'd be adequate if Revis and Aso are locking down the sidelines.

We also had Shaun Ellis playing out of his mind against the Pats.
Trevor Pryce played well vs the Steelers.

I am just talking about depth that as of now, we don't have, and training camp starts Sunday.

He played well but let's be real, coverage won us that game.
