We have a federal tax system. The money gets taxed on the federal level. The only Texas doesn't have is a state tax on individuals. So to answer your question, no, the money is not tax free, but it is not taxed as much as other states where they have state tax.
lol -- team has never made the playoffs and never finished above 500...a good year for them is if they beat the cowboys in pre-season
Scrabble On another note, who came up with Scrabble as a nickname? I'd love to see the 1st post or someone with a valid claim to it and congratulate you for a fantastic win!
Where as Houston and SF have relatively big markets, they are nothing compared to NY. And yes, "Those who get the huge endorsements would get them anywhere in the NFL", but they will have higher number of huge endorsements from NY. There's a huge difference here, and its not even close.
We stole it from an article written after the 2009 probowl when the story first surfaced that Revis and Aso wanted to play together. I personally thought it was an awesome nickname, which is why I still use it.
way better then francesa who right now would be making up excuses as to why he was wrong about someone taking less to play for the jets. then he would flat out deny the jets have a chance for aso, and say the texans will get him because his sawwwces told him.
The 9ers? yeah, contender my ass. My bet is still on the Jets. What's the guess on length of contract?
If I had to guess, it would be 4 years 48 million with 18 million guaranteed... which is totally insane considering what we just gave Holmes
I like the insanity, though. It's fun to watch as a fan of the game. The PA is not going to be happy with a contract like that, though.
Question for the more informed: If we give him more guaranteed money, does he really care what the yearly breakdown is?
Yes. It matters to the player/agent. 4 years down the road...everyone forgets about the guaranteed money and all they remember is how much he gets per year. Per year is the bargaining chip... So if you price yourself lower per year than players worse than you, you won't get that money back unless you statistically kill it on the field.
