THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I need to go post in the I'm Excited thread, cause I'm Excited!
Im not knocking the move, im saying they might not need Sanchez to restructure to sign Aso, but obviously we will NEED to do something about safety. Pool and Ihedigbo both arent under contract, and Leonohard is coming off a huge injury. I wouldnt be shocked if Pool got several offers (after all he did start for an elite defense and play well in the post season), and Ihedigbo is mostly a special teamer. All im saying is at this point we only have 2 safeties on the roster, one of which came off a huge injury and the other who has started like 1 or 2 games ever at the position. I really do HOPE we sign aso, but at the same time we need to be able to fill out the rest of the roster as well. Which is why after signing Aso (who we supposedly can currently afford) were really gonna need several guys to restructure in order to fill out the team
Even if we lose Pool, I could see a lot FS's really wanting to be part of the best secondary of all-time...
^Post 666 :metal: If they can make these moves without Sanchez restructuring yet, clearly they have the cap room for this year.
Funny. I'm currenty negotiating a pretty substaintial deal at my company, but all I could think about is this potential Aso deal.
Sounding more likely Braylons out and Aso is in With all the UDFA WRs we signed. I think were up to 3 or 4, plus the 2 we drafted
incarceratedbob incarcerated bob *Warning 2 Jets Fans* I know u all want Nnamdi but it might cost u this (Brad Smith/Edwards/Pool & or ESmith) + Revis poss holdout next year Nothing like speculative bullshit.
With the exception of Braylon, who gives a shit about losing the other three? A cornerback tandem like that means that serviceable safeties will suffice and a bits and pieces KR is the least of my worries.
Another potential benefit to signing Asomugha is that in a couple years if Rex feels confident in Wilson's ability to start, we could move Aso to safety. So it's not like this move automatically makes drafting Wilson a waste.
