They cut him and bring him back at a lower salary. Cause his value is alot lower then when they initially signed him..... He's considered overrated by many NFL people.

Scott isn't getting cut this year. 2012? Maybe. 2013? Likely. But not this year... not to save 2 mill $$$
    Maybe they'll re-work his deal...

PS Cutting Scott would save the same amount of money as cutting Leonhard... no doubt who I'd choose.
Thomas is definitely getting his deal re-done...

BTW....wasn't a pretty reliable poster on this site saying Breer is full of shit anyway? There is no fucking way Scott gets cut. I think Rex would resign before that happens.

Why do you think his value is a lot lower than it was when the Jets signed him? I disagree that he is considered overrated by many NFL people. He is absolutely critical to our defense. He makes Harris better and he blows plays up by taking on the lead Guard or Fullback. He doesn't get a ton of tackles or sacks, but he is critical to our defense and those that do get on the stat sheet.

I'm not 100 percent confident Aso isn't using the Jets to make someone pay even more to get him?

What's negative? I want Holmes back, I want Nmandi.... I don't overrate some of these guys,, no big deal. As for Francesa,,, he annoys me with alot of his Jets stuff but he's also right on the mark with alot of his opinions of them also.... Not really a big deal......

I said that Albert Breer is a twitchy, nervous, little fucker when he interviews players.

They had some poll for what it's worth, overrated guys in the NFL and he was on it. Now you are 100% right in that he is very important to the JETS defense, he does make Harris better and he does do alot of things that don't hit the stat sheet. You haven't once read me saying cut him... Just that it wasn't inconceivable... I'm not disagreeing with you.

I know you don't pay attention to other teams, but I'll try to explain this to you:

If Asomugha comes here, it's not for the money. He's made so much damn money in Oakland that it might not matter to him anymore. If he signs with the Jets, it because he wants to win.

that wouldnt make sense because he would have to take less (im guessing around 9-10 a year) to sign here

    Bingo.

The possibility of him signing here is becoming increasingly more likely because it's no longer all about money (as we've learned over the past few days -- wants to play for a contender and the acting career).
