Oh hell no. The guy causes more INT's by running the wrong routes/not running hard than he has catches. Plus he's a goof ball.
He hasn't played well. But getting someone on the cheap who has had an 82 reception season and consistently gets about 7 TD a year. Your only gonna have to pay him #2 money and there has been a flash of potential from him in the past
He has been a perennial disappointment for a few years now. His only good seasons came when he was playing in complete obscurity for the lions.
Guy gets cut. New thread starts. Everyone disagrees. Repeat. What about we keep it all in the free agency thread? Or no that is just too easy.
I can't post links yet, but you don't have to search hard to find a clip of Williams dropping a pass, or Williams fumbling a ball, or Williams bailing on a route. APK 8 is 100% correct. Roy Williams is done as an effective NFL receiver.
Eagles to be shed: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/26/eagles-wont-re-sign-any-of-their-unrestricted-free-agents/ Eagles won’t re-sign any of their unrestricted free agents Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on July 26, 2011, 5:15 PM EDT Most teams talk endlessly about the importance of re-signing their own players. The Eagles are taking the exact opposite approach. The Eagles won’t re-sign any of their free agents. Jonathan Tamari of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the team won’t pursue linebacker Stewart Bradley. Or safety Quintin Mikell. Or punter Sav Rocca. Or running back Jerome Harrison. Others that will get ignored: cornerback Dimitri Patterson, center Nick Cole and guard Max Jean-Gilles. Bradley and Harrison are probably the biggest surprises on that list. Harrison produced well as LeSean McCoy’s backup, but the team drafted a running back and will look elsewhere in free agency. Bradley was a team leader for a while, but won’t merit an offer. We know the Eagles are gearing up to make big moves in free agency. They needed to clear the decks, and they did so by letting go of their entire free agent class.
Some very interesting names out there: 1. Gregg is a no-brainer 2. Please get Heap. The guy is a million times the player Keller is. 3. I like Bradley a lot, might be a good move for depth. 4. Please no Roy Williams. He just sucks 5. Banta-Cain anyone?
