I agree. Also, with limited off-season practices, continuity will be huge this season.

It sounds like Eric Smith is as good as gone, but that's just a rumor for now.

I've been one of Drew Coleman's biggest haters over the years, but last year he really upped his game. I hope he's brought back, mostly for continuity. Ditto for Eric Smith.

I love Eric Smith and would hate to see him go.

Any word on James Ihedigbo yet?

Mambo9 are you serious with this?

"Holmes OR Edwards / Rodgers / Naanee / Roth (cut Thomas) and I'm happy"

no offense but thank the football Gods you're not the Jets GM.

I would be very, very leery of Naanee, he carved a nice niche with SD but all the weapons they have certain helped. These 3rd WRs in good offenses more often than not never really amount to much. I would resign Brad Smith he was already found his role on OUR team before I touched Naanee.

Replacing Cromartie with Rodgers is a sizable downgrade, and I'd be leery of Roth too. I'm not sure replacing Roth for Thomas is at all an upgrade.

    Those moves + Holmes = 8-8/9-7. those moves + Braylon = 7-9/8-8.

Shoot higher man. I know this isnt madden but we ought to be able to get both Bray/Holmes there.. or scratch naanee and resign Cromartie or something there.

Buchanon would be a decent No 2 cb and would be relatively cheap compared to Cro.

So no signings till Friday right?

The fact i left my laundry in the washer for the past 3 hours was just a waste of mine and likely someone elses time? God i hate all this "excitement".

As much as I threw verbal abuse towards Drew Coleman, I would not mind him re-signing. He was always good for a few big plays, and when he made them, they really counted.

I'm not saying that's my ideal scenario... that's my happiness floor. Anything under that and I'm pissed, anything more and I'll be even happier!

You wouldn't mind a guy who couldn't win a starting job with the deadskins? I'd much prefer his teammate Rodgers...

Not sure if it's been reported here, but Mark just told the media he'd be willing to restructure...

Yep. We as Jets fans are very lucky to have this kid as the QB. This can give us 6-9million extra to spend this year.

Sure. Buchanon would be more of a depth signing/coleman replacement.

His restructuring is nothing special. All he's doing is taking his salary and converting it to a bonus so that the cap hit is spread out over more years. He won't be giving up a dollar.

Give me a fucking break, SOJF.

Sanchez volunteered to change up his deal so this team can stay competitive.

Not that it's an issue but he's also actually increasing his job security by doing it--as it stands the Jets could cut him next season and get substantial cap savings but if he restructures by converting most of his salary to a signing bonus he'll have so much dead money attached to him that they can't easily cut him or force him to restructure again.

Of course his cap number would be huge next year (like 19 million) so they'll have to do another restructure or a long term extension then.

I wonder if this was just a shout-out to Holmes asking him what he's going to do.
