Does anyone feel ambitious and want to make a Player Release thread so we can keep track of additional free agents? I know its not official but, might as well

The Pats are releasing Tully Banta-Cain.. he won't be ready for the start of the season so I doubt he's a guy the Jets would look at.

Check the "sign that beast" thread in the NFL forum.

Osi looks to be holding out, if the Giants cut him, do you guys want him?

If he's reasonably priced, absolutely. But I don't want to give a lot of guaranteed money to a guy who's been injury prone and inconsistent, and I suspect that Osi will demand way more than he's worth.

Can Osi play OLB in the 3-4? For the kind of money he will be looking for, he had better.

I think this topic has been covered before this offseason, but I could be wrong.

Osi is a prick and holds himself in way too high of a regard to come at a reasonable price. In the words of Westhoff, "Fuck 'em"

I for one would miss Drew Coleman.

Sure we have cursed him many times in the past. But the kid can play.

I feel the same way. Great fit in this defense as dime back. He came up huge so many times last year. He'd be harder to replace than people think.

  13. I would not be surprised if one of those teams is the Pats. Bellichick loves those experienced veteran CB's who tackle well and can provide depth. He also would love to nab a former Jet DB to pick his mind about Rex and Thurman's coverage schemes.

I said about a week ago that our secondary is going to look a lot different in 2011.

If we lose Drew Coleman and Eric Smith, we'll be losing two key role players from the 2010 season.

If we lose Coleman I would like to see Fabian Washington fill his spot.

I thought Eric Smith took a major step forward in the second half of last season. Coleman you can have.

I just want to keep Eric Smith and Brodney Pool. I won't miss Coleman too much and we can't afford Cromatie and his babies.

Have confirmed earlier reports that the #Jets have reached out to Damien Woody.

    No surprise here

Both of those players have really improved in recent years, that would be a blow if we lost both.
