No, not until Friday but at least we are talking about Free Agents and negotiations with the players.

Won't happen. He will go to the highest bidder and the Jets won't be the highest bidder.

You can have deals in place that just need to be signed by Friday

Revis' cap number this year is at least $11 mill, too bad he won't throw some money into the pot to become legendary.

LT's $4 mill must be reworked, same with Calvin's $7 mill.

Brick's cap value is nearly double that of Mangold's $4.5 number. Too bad that's not moving.

Being able to rework the contracts of 4 current players as well as negotiate those of several free agents is a lot to ask in a week.

It's official that dead money from last year doesn't count. More hope for aso nation.

Jet fans knew who he was but before 2009 he wasn't well known around the league. It wasn't until the whole Revis Island thing started that he blew up.

Mark Sanchez hasn't been active on Twitter since Saturday, which could indicate that he and his agent are working on some form of restructuring.

Just throwing some conjecture out there.

Lt's number can probably be reworked Kellen Clemens style but Pace will be tough to restructure (he'd generate too much dead money to cut and he knows it, and he knows he is one the chopping block next year, so his agent will just sit tight unless they give him new, real money that gives him job security next year).

Yeah, that's why I'm hoping we can restructure somehow, maybe stretch our a large signing bonus over 2 years to even out the money.

I think with our improved line that just had a injection of youth, more holes will be punched allowing Pace some more opportunity. Of all the free agents available the only thing missing in the group are quality pass rushers.

Didn't LT sign a 2 year contract last year? Any 're-working' would be cutting then re-signing him to a smaller deal, no?

I think LT and Jason Taylor signed similar two year contracts with the Jets FO having the intention of cutting them the second year. Whether they rework it or not is up in the air. Hopefully they'd agree to a vet minimum but I doubt it.

Besides, LT has the Jets tattoo on his calf so he owes it to himself to stay here on the cheap or else he will look like a dumbass.

Or cutting him and using the vet exemption on him. That's gonna be used on one of LT, Woody, or Ellis I would imagine.
