Sure they would... He's overrated and on top of that can't cover anyone.... Watch a game,,, i'm not making that up... Now he's very valuable to the Jets cause he has Rex's confidence and knows the D inside and out.. But he's overrated.

Watch a tape of the AFC championship game... He bounced off the Steelers from the beginning of the game.

have you ever seen,,,, bart scott play? what regard is he overrated in? he isnt good at covering,,,,,i will agree to that. do you know what a inside linebacker is supposed to do in a 3/4 defense,,?

our entire front 7 sucked ass in the steelers game. dont just put it on scott.

He's mental _but_ Scott is a very, very expensive player for a (good) 2 down linebacker, especially since Harris is going to be highly paid now. They probably extend Scott and reduce his annual comp.

He's awful at covering, that's my point. You can't be awful at covering and be considered some great player. Yes, I know the responsibilities that the inside linebacker has, and realized covering isn't the top one,, but he can't cover any TE. And he's not as quick as he used to be either. It's all true.

And like I said, all the guy did was bounce of Mendenhall that whole Steeler game.

I don't know if restructuring Pace or Scott is much of an option.

ok,,,, we should cut him. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    anyway,,,,,,

With this 6.5million(burrowed $, and Vet $), 3.6million saved by cutting Bryan Thomas?, Possibly Scott/Pace/Sanchez restructuring, and signing Harris to a long term deal..The Jets should be in good shape to sign 2 of our big FA's, and bring back a bunch of roleplayers/ST guys,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Said other teams might cut him if in the same situation. Jets won't cut him. Might restructure Cotchery also.

  13. Well, I think you should be sorry, for Christ's sake. A family member dies, and you insult me!

Looks like Petro found some new shit about before us...

    According to TGG's home page:

The Jets will not re-sign Antonio Cromartie, Eric Smith, or Brad Smith.

  17. If it is true, it shows that the organization trusts Wilson, and it wants as much offensive continuity for Sanchez as possible.

Then again, it could also signify a huge push for NA.

    We're getting Aso! Championship! :breakdance:

It is interesting re:Cro in all seriousness. I'm guessing Rex and Tanny have thoroughly discussed other options.

This may fly under the radar with the comma insanity, but yes, I think you're right. This is absolutely huge news. That's another $8M+ in cap room the Jets just found. We can now make a credible run at Nnamdi for instance without scuttling the rest of the team. The difference in salary between him and Cromartie is a much smaller deal with all that extra breathing room.
