no, there IS a deadline. there IS urgency. there IS reason to get things moving rather than dragging this out as long as possible

Let me put it in terms you may understand...
Tommy took your legos and promised to give you all of them back the next day.

The next day Tommy gave you back half the legos and the rest are mega blocks.

You have to dig through the legos and pick out all the mega blocks, because fuck mega blocks.

This unfortunetly takes time, as they look similar, but are not the same.

I thought the players only got paid at the start of the regular season? If that's the case then it'd behoove the players to delay since only the owners would lose money then, but not long enough to start missing regular season games.
