Besides for that Browns game, Folk was pretty decent. He did make some big kicks (56 yards in Denver, Indy, Pittsburgh).

Feely cost us games, Folk didnt and those field goals in the AFC Championship would have definately helped against the Colts, especially the one that would have put us up 20-13...

Name one game feely cost us? Folk nearly cost us the Browns game, could have cost us the NE game, he missed a big kick in a low scoring game vs. GB.

The kick against Indy was a chip shot and he barely made it.

The kick feely missed in the title game that would have made it 20-13 was 52 yards, it was silly to attempt that kick in that spot and even if he makes that kick and the other one we are still losing. We lost b/c we couldn't stop Manning and the Colts O not b/c of our K missing a 52 yarder.

The reason why we lost was because with about 3 minutes left right after the fumble turn over we got a false start penalty that took us from a 3rd and 2 to a 2nd and 12. The sad part is Woody who got the penalty, had absolutely nothing to do with the play. If we didn't get that penalty we were going to get the first down and run the clock out and go into the half either up 17-6 or 21-6. Instead they stopped us easily and we kicked the field goal and then Manning went down the field and the rest is history.

And didnt Feely cost us the Bills game...I cant remember. Or was it a botched snap?

Thought so. I honestly never saw that game. I was working that day and was getting texts about it, I was so disgusted that I never watched highlights or anything.

The majority of the people voting on this thing clearly do not understand the concept. This is trying to predict who will be stars in the next 3-5 years, not right now. A lot of the players (i.e. linebackers, runningbacks, etc) that take mass beatings due to their positions or personal play style are racking up the votes although it is highly unlikely that they will be able to stay healthy for another 3-5 years.

What's sad to see is Mark Sanchez is dead last in the QB votes. He's even behind Cam Newton.

He's a smart disciplined guy....he will produce. Time to move past all the Jay Feely comments. He's not the Jet's kicker! Folk has the tools and mental stamina to do a great job. He's got my vote!

  9. I had more confidence in Feeley throughout 09 as compared to Folk last season. With that said,Folk is on this list b/c of his potential. He's still very young and has all the tools to be a great kicker. He's still alittle soft mentally, but all these seasons w/ teams like Dallas and now the Jets should eventually give him the ice cold veins to develop better consistency. I feel good about Folk long term as the jets kicker.
