During an interview on NFL Network, the former New York Giants receiver responded positively to the possibility of playing for the Houston Texans or New York Jets. "(Jets owner) Woody Johnson has been doing a great job running that organization," said Burress, wearing a pinstriped suit and lilac tie as he tries to rehabilitate his image. "(Coach) Rex Ryan definitely has that team going in the right direction. They're definitely right on the cusp of, I think, going to a Super Bowl and eventually winning it." http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=6749155 Well it all depends on if we gets Holmes and Braylon back, I think Rex would take the chance on him
Plax also jerked off the Texans in that same article. He's trying to market himself for a big payday....it's not like the Jets are the only team he would play for.
At this point, what's he going to say? "Naaaw, the Jets suck. I'm going to play for the team that pays me the most, know-what-i'm-sayin?"
exactly. Plax is gonna suck off as many Super Bowl contenders as possible...to generate some healthy competition for his services. Nothing more, nothing less.
I watched that interview last night and he definitely was insinuating with hand gestures and facial expressions (that obviously don't come through in the text) that he wanted to be a Jet. And yes... I am a professional expert witness on body language.
Great point, at this time, he needs to cash out, he has been out for a few years now, and it nearing the end of the line. One last payday.
yeah, he should follow vick's example to the letter. say the right things when asked, stfu otherwise. the difference being, he's not nearly in the financial shitter that vick was.... so i see that as once he signs, same ol plexiglass.
Just the though of going from either Braylon or Santonio to Plaxico agitates me enough to say no. He's pushing 35 years of age, hasn't played a single down of football during the past two NFL seasons, missed 6 games back in 2008 etc, etc. This is no Mike Vick type of situation, Vick actually returned to football at the age of 30 with plenty of room for improvement at the QB position. I truly believe the best of Plaxico Burress has already came and gone. As a fan, I'm just not willing to see our team take a chance on a big time question mark (Burress) when we're in serious position to contend for a championship this coming season. If we lose either Holmes or Edwards, I'd much rather go after free agent WR's such as Sidney Rice, Steve Smith of the Giants or even a 32 year old Santana Moss who had 93 catches, 1,115 yards with 6 TD's last year. The more I think about our WR situation, the more I feel we should let Cromartie sign with another team and bring back both Holmes and Edwards. Our defense has Rex Ryan to fall back on, our defense should be just fine without Cromartie, but we have a young QB in Sanchez, who's still developing, that could really use both Edwards and Holmes when the going gets tough.
I was wih ya til you mentioned that fuckin homo Santana Moss. Fuck that guy dude. ooooopsie, out of bounds.
I'm really, really hoping Wilson is taking notes from Revis this off-season. We're gonna need him once Cro is out.
Is Plex Plaxico's brother? What team is he on? Is he any good? Is he available? What's his criminal background?
