He actually was pretty good for a stretch there, but he's been sucky lately.

hahahha....Matsui with the lucky catch. This game has L written all over it.
Off-hand observation, Oakland is the mirror image of the Mets. This is beyond ugly baseball. Duda and Murphy at the corners should be an interesting watch.

This team can't buy a fucking 2-out hit. Ridiculous that I'm still watching this.

At least they won the game instead of folding.

A walk-off HBP. You can't make this stuff up. Turner, thank God, didn't try too hard to get out of the way of that. With 2 outs, I'll take it.

Ike out 3 more weeks?? This is bush league shit. Anyone who has played a contact sport before knows it doesn't take 2 months to heal that kind of injury. Baseball injuries are BS.

I agree why is it any Met player that gets a basic injury is done for the year. Hell, hamilton broke his arm and was back faster that Ike. I think they need to fire their training staff and the doctors because they are completely useless.

The injury seemed like nothing replay after replay. I cant wait to hear what the issue is. I do have a hard time thinking that Ike would sit out if he had no pain. I have not seen any interviews with him stating how he feels. Are the docs just holding him back? I know ligament and tendon issues take longer to heal but what gives?? I cant imagine the justification of surgery unless he tore something. Paranoia makes me think that the owners are pushing to hold players back so the team tanks and the can justify a yard sale...

We'll be lucky if the Mets can take 1 game from this series

Can we please trade pelfrey...of all the pitching staff he is the biggest fucking waste of space.

Beltran , Pelfrey and Krod out , Bay kidnapped and then we can lookto a brighter future

Well, that's the one - maybe they can actually take #2 tomorrow. Quite the offensive explosion today, especially from Duda.

    ^Duda had 4 hits.

Also, Josh Hamilton had a golden sombrero.

As for another Hamilton, if the Mets trade Reyes to the Reds they'd better get Billy Hamilton in the package. He has no power but does have tremendous speed. Like Reyes, he'd bat leadoff, would get a lot of triples at Citi Field, and would steal a lot of bases. He had a good year last year, but right now he's only batting .240 in the Midwest League.

I've read some reports the Giants are dangling Jonathon Sanchez/ Brandon Belt or Pablo Sandoval for Reyes.

Sanchez I could do without, but I really don't want to see Belt go. Move Sandoval to 1st, Murphy to 2b and you have a potent lineup still, with a top-tier young pitcher.

Of course the Giants also throw in some prospects and vice versa.
