We should do a pole on who we thought said this. I got 50 Vcash on Mangold. Whoever it was can't argue with much.
I found it interesting that the insider appears to really like Holmes over Edwards. It is a shame they both may receive some street time this year.
My moneys on Revis, he usually likes to open up to the media about the team. Can't really argue with the points though, all legit insight even if I may not agree with it 100%. The thing in the article was the last line where it mentions Sanchez. Mark Sanchez? Really? Seriously the coaching staff and the team knows that this kid is a winner, a leader and knows how to win close games. Why is he an issue to address? Also, what I've seen from Folk last season I would gladly take him back. Just from that Indianapolis game alone. One of my more favorite Jet games.
If I were to put money on it, I would say a defensive player put this out. they asked for Harris to get his due, and to keep Cromartie. If they were an offensive guy, they would have been clamoring for both receivers and one defender. My dark horse here is Sione Pouha. That said I would think it is Bart Scott. 1. Resign Holmes He would also want Holmes more than Braylon based on the 'body of work" because Holmes continued to torch Baltimore year in and year out when Scott was still over there. 2. Get DH a long-term deal Bart wants DH to get his more than just about anyone on the team, perhaps even more than DH himself does. 3. Resign Cro Bart would want Cromartie back, as well as being unsure about K-Dub. 4. Get pass rushers Scott would be desperate for some outside pass rush, knowing full well how awesome this defense could be if they could find a terrell suggs type rusher. 5. Find a starting quality RT Bart would understand the need to have quality along the OL and not want to see Sanchez get killed out there. I certainly have faith in Ducasse, but Bart would know more about the 6. Sign a safety/resign Pool I also believe he spoke out near the end of the season, early postseason about how well Pool has been playing. It makes sense for a lot of reasons that it is Bart. Also if anybody on the defensive side has been outspoken in favor of Mark its definately Bart. Everybody saw last year that Slauson was a solid guard. Was he outstanding? no, but certainly a capable starter and will only get better next year after further coaching. Folk made the game winner in the playoffs last year, why wouldnt our guys have faith in him?
I care, because there is nothing else to talk about, so why not fucking speculate about which player has these feelings? Its better than continuing to argue about the millionares vs. billionares debate....
Oh yes it's so interesting it was Jay Feely, no Damian Woody, no Mark Sanchez, No it was Holmes himself, David Harris, it was Bart Scott, it was Eric Smith, it was Brick, no it was Mangold, maybe it was Cotchery or maybe Pool, no it was Green(e), thinking about it it could have been Joe McKnight or maybe even B. Thomas........... nah my money is on Vlad Duccasse. Wow you are right that was so much fun............. my bad.
The players gottaa be a nobody, these interviews always are. I wouldnt be surprised if it was like Bryan Thomas or Mike Devito. Someone who is semi irrelevant. Big name guys don't usually do anonymous interviews.
i'm going with gholston.who else had enough time to watch and study the team enough to make the evaluation?
I vote for Tim Graham making up a new angle to write an old story because he's got to produce something while there's no NFL, and that he didn't actually talk to any player at all.
