John Abraham Goes OFF on Twitter “Herm Lied to my Face”
    Abraham

by Erik Manassy on June 11, 2011

Former New York Jets John Abraham (@JohnAbraham55) went OFF on his old franchise Saturday morning on Twitter. In his tweets he states that he likes Rex but his problem lies with Herm and Woody. He even said that getting booed when he was drafted stung a bit and he got a tattoo on his wrist for inspiration.

New York really did a number on John. Check out these choice tweets!!

    Hahahaha, Tory Woodbury.

Also, fuck Herm. I'm not surprised to hear Abraham say this given it's pretty much the same accusation Coles made when he first left. 6yr/$11mil is a pretty low-ball offer for someone with his pass rushing talents but Abraham couldn't stay healthy while he was on the team.

Tory Woodbury's career was crushed the day he was born.

John Abraham will always be a pussy. Herm Edwards had nothing to do with him sitting out in the playoffs - that was all about money.

John Abraham had a big impact in how many important games as a Jet?

    Oh right.

    That's just mean...I mean true.
No argument here. The funny thing is that in the past 5 seasons he's only missed 9 games; 8 in 2006 and 1 in 2010. What really pisses me off about Abraham was that he never bothered to figure out how to stay healthy while he was here.

And don't anyone try and tell me about 16 games in 2005, either. I remember him running into the locker room for x-rays after every time he stubbed his toe. I went to the MNF game against the Patriots that season and I remember him running off of the field around 4 times that game.

The biggest impact he had as a Jet was the busted fire hydrant, light pole and 2003 Hummer he drove on in his DWI arrest.

Thanks for Nick Mangold though. There's a pro bowler who actually deserved the big contract extension.

Why is John Abraham so bitter all of a sudden? He doesn't fit on a Mangini team or a Rex team- tweets like this are evidence of that fact. Herm Edwards is currently doing vaudeville schtick on ESPN- he's further away from the NFL than Merril Hoge- and Abe has a decent shot to play in this year's Super Bowl.

That's the big problem with Twitter. Some comments should just be left at the bar.

Last time I checked, Herm wasn't signing the checks...maybe he wanted John to be a lifetime Jet, but again Herm doesn't sign the checks.

Dear John "I sprained my vagina" Abraham:

I'm so glad you left the franchise - and your pick turned into Mangold, pretty much the best C in NFL. Sorry the door hit your ass on your way out. Ciao!

Man, I forgot about that. Didn't he sit out a playoff game with a belly ache? UGH!

As someone who gave Abe a ton of shit while he was on the team I'm kind of shocked at the complete lack of sympathy here. It would be interesting to hear his side of the story.

I could deal with a lot of shit he did because it isn't anywhere near some other guys in the league. He lost me when he sat in the playoffs when it seemed clear he could have at least given it a go. Be a jackass as much as you want if you are gonna help win games. He wanted to be paid like a game changer when he never changed a game that actually meant anything.

Loved Abe when we drafted him and for most of his tenure as a Jet.

However as I think most Jet fans feel, I hated him sitting out of the important games with bs ailments.

he lost me when he sat. But to be honest, Ellis's two sacks of Brady in the playoffs are more memorable than Abe's entire career.
