All that this article accomplished was to provide a Cliff's Notes version of Ryan's book to the semi-literate majority of Paste fans. Nothing to see here, truly.
Nothing story. I do wish Rex would keep some of this shit back for his post-career autobiog though. I'm more interested in what Santonio thinks of this story, not some hidden agenda Pasts journos.
Waaahhhhhhh! That's what this article says. How about the Commish steps in and voids the trades the Pats make every year with that senile owner in Oakland?? Or does an owner and league favor the Jets when the Jets get the worst schedule in NFL history for 2011 (three road games in a row ending in New England; Sunday night followed by Thursday night on the road?). Did this reporter ever watch a Jets game and see how the referees are so clearly biased in favor of the Jets, like the Baltimore and GB games last year? Or how New England goes months without any offensive holding calls? Or how Brady call his own personal foul penalties when DLinemen get too close to his pretty head or his post surgical knee. Give me a break!!
Ah ,typical Pats football, screaming ,crying and making the biggest fuss over total BS, in hopes someone calls a penalty and the Pats will somehow benefit from it.... I see Tommy boy crying for a flag, all over this.....It has become S.O.P. for the Pats, there fans and now there bitch ass writers....... Surprises me old Rich C. did not stumble across this and make a month of press out of it. Yet, that would require a person to have to read Rex's book, not sure Rich is up to that yet... Just hope that if nothing else, it pisses off the Comish and the league office enough, that they finally take the kid's gloves off that whole outfit and start calling the game like they do for every other team in the NFL..... Move on people nothing to see here ......
Its laughable the personal foul calls Brady gets. He literally is turning the game into soccer where you immediately look for a foul instead of where the actual ball went. Hope it does not catch on beyond the pretty boys of the league.
i read have of it. cant really bother to read much bullshit. my question is, is the writer blaming/bashing Rex, or the Commish? If he is bashing the Commish, I have no problem. Who is to say the Commish is going to give out the same treatment to 32 teams? Probably not, but now he probably has to, since this was brought up. But if he is bashing Rex...shut the fuck up please. He asked the Commish a favor, and the guy granted it. WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. Why cant these faggots just accept the tuck rule was bullshit, and they got 3 superbowl victories in the past 10 years. If I were a Pats fan, I could give a shit.
Paste fans will no doubt scrapbook this article along with the light punishment for the Alosi incident and the ever-incriminating evidence that Roger Goodell was an intern for the Jets for a single year as his NFL nuts were dropping in order to provide undeniable proof that The Commish is a secret admirer of one of the least-storied franchises in this league.
whats a bigger favor? a staged chewout of your coach or the destruction of tapes involving filming other teams super bowl practices?
What an injudicious thing for Rex to put in his book. Unless he's told Santonio about it previously it's a crappy way for him to find out.
Nobody thinks that there was anything wrong technically with Goodell helping out Rex. And there isn't. But it does add to the perception around the league that Goodell favors the NY teams, especially the one he used to work for. I know the folks on here don't see it that way... It does come off as a dick move by Rex to put this in the book though. It's a shitty repayment of a favor to put Goodell on the spot for helping him out. And depending on whether or not Holmes knew before the book came out about being manipulated, it seems a dick move to brag about playing him. I agree with another poster who said this shit should have definitely been left for an after his career is over book....
