Joe Willie was interviewed on CNBC this morning at about 8AM or so. He's apparently raising money for flood relief in Alabama... talked about a scheduled Kenny Chesny concert and other celebrities pitching in. He was wearing a #12 patch on his jacket. When asked about Mark Sanchez, he raved about him. Said "if he can stay healthy, he's going to be a great QB." Talked about his work ethic and how he gained the respect in the locker room. He also said that after seeing all the devastation down in AL, he read Rex Ryan's book and it was very positive and uplifting for him. Says the Jets should have another great year (if there is one) and that he expects great things from Ryan and the team.
I do. He's still the man in my book because he backed up what he predicted. Rex Ryan MIGHT gain the same status by me but he needs to produce what he says. He needs to show me... follow through with what he predicts. I'm talking Vince Lombardi Trophy. He does that, he's maybe equal to Joe Namath. Anything less and he's still talking through his ass.
Hmm not always. As much as I love Joe, sometimes he has to learn to shut up and let the team take care of business.
