Since nobody even bothered with a thread for this series....
    Mejia with Tommy John.
    Beato on the DL.
Can't get a guy home from third base with less than 2 outs.
About to get swept by a previously struggling team.

When the fuck does it end??

I would be sad if they traded or did not resign Reyes.

Seconded. He's the only reason to watch this team right now.

If the Mets trade him, they better get a shit-ton of MLB ready, five star prospects. I don't know anyone in the game as exciting to watch as a healthy Reyes is. It would devastate the fanbase.

Agreed, I'm sick of all these baseball analyists saying the Mets are in a rebuilding stage. Our lineup is 6th in the league in runs....that's not rebuilding. If we had Santana from the start, and an actually rotation we'd be contending at least for wild card. Trading Reyes will ruin the fanbase and set us back at least 2-3 from contending.

It's in Mets fans best interest to gut everything and rebuild. This team is not good and adding a piece or two wont help.

    I agree.

This team is screwed anyway. They got overpaid older players who now they won't be able to trade.

Very few guys with trade value.

I think the biggest thing that needs to happen to this team is for K-rod to NOT get that 55 games finished. The way it's looking, that will be near impossible. That will open up 17.5 mil and hopefully that will allow us to resign Reyes.

Exactly. It's important to get rid of that guy.

Can't do much about a lot of the wasted money, but hopefully that awful contract can be terminated.

Yeah, that's one of the bigger questions about this season. It's frustrating watching him go out in games with relatively big leads.

I don't see this as a problem...we'll just trade him to a team that needs a closer. Look what happened last year with the Twins, injuries happen and K-rod is having a good year. If worse comes to worse we can just release him when he gets to like 53 or something.
