That would make Brady 44 upon retirement. Three years older than Favre's current age.

Not sure why he is saying this now, perhaps he's hoping that the addition of Ryan Mallett will provide him with an invigorating 'youth injection'.

I hope he does, and I hope NE is forced to play him every single year. 2 maybe 3 years from now Brady is going to start to slip, I really hope it is sooner rather than later, but I really feel that with him, once he starts to slide he is going to fall right off a cliff. Can't wait to watch it happen, I really can't

I don't know about a cliff. That system is built for his success, and he doesn't have to do much that age will affect. Unless he starts to lose his mind over the next few years, I'd say he'll be productive until his late 30s.

That surprises me. My coworker (rabid idiot Pats fan) and I were just talking the other day about the Pats drafting a QB this year in the draft to start grooming and we both agreed that when Brady's contract was up, he's done.

I can't stand the guy, but I really didn't see him hanging on like Farve did. I guess I was wrong. He seems more like the kind of guy who would want to go out on top (figuratively speaking of course... as I am certain he is never on top IRL).

I'm looking forward to watching Tom Brady pull a Favre and hold the Patriots hostage year-after-year until they just trade his ass.

the one thing he will lose that you can't compensate for in an NFL offense is reaction time. Currently it only takes him tenths of a second to recognize something as it happens, make a snap decision and get the ball out. as he ages, it will take fractions longer to complete the process, this will lead to him taking more hits, getting sacked more often, and passes to receivers that are open for him now, being batted away or picked off. The NFL is such a timing sport that even fractions of a second will make all the difference on certain plays.

They're doing a very poor job of rebuilding that OLine and the Jets and Bills are doing great jobs at improving their pass rush.
/braces for Aaron Maybin-based counter arguments

I don't think his health over that course of time can be assumed.

Yes, and he's never had the wheels to elude pass rushers and that's not going to improve. The way he flops to the ground when a pass rusher looks like he may touch him could take a toll on his body over time.

It almost looks like Brady just lit up Drew Coleman.

He's going to hurt himself folding like a lawn chair whenever a pass rush gets within sneezing distince.

That's true, health could play a role in the length of his career.

Holy shit. Dinks and dunks. I had to click to see that was an accurate quote. The guy already knows the Pats offense. No one ever uses those terms, though, for fear of offending Brady. I love it. Tension already.
