I'm hoping someone will be along soon to explain why that is a good pick...

Not a need. Like the player, but as others have said how many running backs do we need? That's 4.

Means they are getting rid of puke McKnight....which would be a mistake since he had a solid final game vs BUF(Granted its the Bills Run D but still)

Apparently he could be better than Greene

Well......apparently the Jets front office got who they liked because there were high fives all around the conference room....so they must have a good reason...i wouldve like a LB but I'm sure they know what they're doing.

McKnight was not a good pick. Could be correcting that.

I'd say LT over McKnight, unless they hate McKnight already...

Well someone has to go out of Greene, LT, McKnight, Powell... unless McKnight is the one moving over to the slot?

Are you fucking kidding me? Very different back than McKnight. Not BPA, weird pick, but this comment is just stupid.

Powell and McKnight are completely different RBs as their styles go. Powell is a short-yardage player. If this means anything, it's that the Jets are looking for an insurance policy in case Shonn Greene's injury problems continue.

Hopefully we come back in the 5th and are able to land a Beal or Haag. Rex might lose the goodwill from the Connor pick on this one.

Really thought they were going safety or LB there.

I don't get picking an RB. Interested to hear what the JETS plan is now as far as the 4 RB's.

Powell is a strong back. He can get even bigger. This has nothing to do with McKnight. We'd have needed another big back either way. Just seems early to me.
