Packers drafted the next Brad Smith already. Are you sure he didn't mean Scott Frost?

the Jets need to trade up and grab Acho tomorrow morning.....and then hopefully, grab a safety in the 5th or 6th round.

    Safeties still available:
    -DeAndre McDaniel
    -Robert Sands
    -Deunta Williams
    -Tyler Sash
    -Ahmad Black

It probably won't happen...but that's the ideal scenario, IMO.

I really don't see doing both of those as being very likely, given that they'll probably need one of those latter two picks to move up in the fourth. Although I agree, it would be ideal.

Idk about Acho specifically, but I wouldnt be shocked for the Jets to trade up in one of the rounds to grab a player. Tanny isnt known for stockpiling late round picks so he could just do what he did last year and find two guys he likes and just put our remaining four picks in for those two

Has Tannenbaum ever done that in a previous draft?

Someone please correct me but I think that is the only trade he hasn't made regarding draft picks thus far.

Not that I can recall, our current 7th rounder is one we got from the Washington trade. But even the Sanchez trade (what a fuckin robbery) was all done with picks of that current draft

In the presser Tanny said his weight varied. He's listed at 346, he stated that at times this past season he played at 350, and said that in the visit with the Jets he weighed in at 333.

I'm hoping he sticks closer to 333 than 350.

Some of those reports on him stated that as the season went on his stamina and endurance actually seemed to increase.

So I think in this regard we'll be fine, though I'd like him in the 333 ballpark as well.

Yeah going off an older trade value chart, the Jets would need to give up their 4th and 5th rounders to move up roughly half way through the 4th.

And since Acho is listed in the top 5 overall BPA remaining (yeah I know those rankings dont mean shit, esp after what happened to Everson Griffen/Bowens) I really dont see him falling at least another 15 spots.

Hell our 4th 5th and 6th 7th wouldnt even get us in the top 10 this round

Letting a young healthy good character guy walk, to spend a draft pick on an inferior version of a guy that has worked out excellent for us ?

Sweets not the word I would use
