Tex jammed his shoulder diving for a ball on Tuesday. They took him out as a precaution.

Wouldn't they just sit him the whole game as a precaution?

I feel like something happened on the double play.

Okay, but how does that change what was reported?

    • Mark Teixeira hurt his right shoulder making a diving play in the third inning yesterday. It didn’t really both him until he work up this morning, felt better at game time, and it started bothering him again after the top of the eighth. That’s why Eric Chavez pinch hit. Girardi said there are no tests scheduled. “He’s just sore,” Girardi said.

I'm just saying, Cap, Teix didn't strike me as someone who would leave a game b/c of soreness...

I thought the injury was worse.

jonny, probably because he had to run 15 feet up the middle to make a play

No disrespect to the Cap'n, but I'd like to see Granderson sit on the leadoff spot for awhile. That mofo is scorching. Batting 9th last night was ridiculous. (that's "rediculous" to you youngsters).

Chavez proving to be a valuable addition. He is good defensively, if he can contribute anything offensively we're laughing.

Right now, the Colon, Garcia, Chavez and R Martin acquisitions are essential to our success. Still a long way to go before we can call them good moves, but right now they look like brilliant moves considering what was out there in FA.
