I got lazy on the explanations for each pick, I usually do them but since Im doing 2 rounds Ill just explain the Jets picks and any questions you all have. I finally did a trade and some draft day BPA instead of the same old same old stuff. Let see what you'll think!

Jets trade back with the Cards to number 38 who offer the most to the Jets beating out trade offers by the 49ers and Cinci.

    Cards receive #30

    Jets receive #38, #103, and #136.

The Cardinals need an accurate gun slinger who ,with time, can develop into a hell of a QB. Mallet can throw the deep ball, is very accurate, and would fit perfectly in Arizona's offensive system.

The Jets only move back 8 spots and pick up a high 4th and 5th. Its not a Tanny move per say but he'll take it.

Here's the rest of the Jets draft from this already crazy NFL mock:

3rd (#94) DeAndre McDaniel, FS, Clemson
Jets get a little bit lucky and McDaniel falls to their third round pick. The safety position is a hidden need and the way the second round (above) went
good safeties should be available. McDaniel has great center field type skills, can tackle consistently, competitive as hell, and helps in the run support. This kid is exactly what we need back in the secondary.

    4th (#103) Jarvis Jenkins, NT/DE, Clemson

Another Clemson guy? Sure why not! Jarvis Jenkins could fall out of the third because of work issues and his weak bench press at the combine. Early in the 4th is about where he could go unless a team over drafts him because of the lack of DT's...Anyways Jenkins is a versatile and explosive player. He can play some NT and 3-4 DE, he'd instantly be apart of a great rotation on the DLine and could even start if Ellis doesnt return.

4th (#126) Denarius Moore, WR, Tennessee
Another guy who IMO could definitely be there at this spot since most of the WR hungry teams will have already taken a WR. I think we just miss out of Austin Pettis and Niles Paul but ending up with Moore is nothing to complain about. Moore is a poor mans Holmes if you will, he is a big time deep threat, great route runner, slices up zone coverage, and has great hands. His downfall of his game is that he is a bit sloppy in the open field and does struggle when facing good CB's but if Holmes is gone he'd make a great slot WR candidate.

5th (#136) Buster Skrine, CB, Chattanooga

A perfect fit at the nickel or dime spot on our defense. Skrine's stock is rising but the top of the 5th could be a little bit of a stretch but the speed on this kid along with instant contribution potential and returner possibilities he could maybe be this years Sam Shields. Rex knows you cant have enough corners and with Drew Coleman as a FA he becomes an instant. upgrade

5th (#161) Keith Williams, OG, Nebraska
Callahan wants this kid badly on this team, he recruited him previously and loved him as a Guard at Nebraska. If this team wants to develop a Guard who has crazy good run blocking skills and a mean streak, this is the kid. If we plug in Vlad at RT then Williams in about 2 or 3 more seasons, will have on hell of a young and explosive line.

6th (#194) Nick Bellore, ILB, Central Michigan
Nick is extremely underrated IMO a kid who racks up 471 career tackles in college shouldnt be considered as a 7th-UDFA prospect but he is...this kid is above average tackler, durable, a leader, and is decent in zone coverage. Id see him as a first year leader on ST and a great backup to David Harris and Bart Scott.

7th (#208) John Graves, 3-4 DE, Virginia Tech

Not much production in college but he has some upside and a good amount of athleticism. He is a very smart football kid, can pressure the QB, and was a all ACC second team player. The reason he is a late round pick is because his lack of numbers, no true position, needs to bulk up more, and has had some lingering injuries in the past.

Hope you all like this draft and the Jets draft. Lets hope we have something very similar (if you like this draft) . All feedback is HUGELY appreciated. If I missed anyone very obvious , please let me know it was most likely a mix up.

I'm thinking about adding a third when I get back from class. But will see.

That would be a nice draft, I don't know if Moore is exactly the perfect fit as a slot receiver, but he is talented, so he would see the field anyway.

He's not the most typical slot WR but he has great hands and is OK at route running, so I could see him getting great time, as you also point out.

    Appreciate the feedback.

    Johnny,

I love that draft through pick #136. I don't know any of those kids you mentioned thereafter. I do like taking an OL low, but I like Cedric Thornton so much, I'd rather add him than an OG at that point. I'm sure the others are good players since you picked them, but I have a few variations for those last picks.

#161 - Cedric Thornton, 3/4 DE, So. Ark.

#194 - Jeremy Kerley, WR, TCU (or Aldrick Robinson, WR, SMU)

#208 - Malcolm Smith, LB, USC

as another alternative, the Jets could take:

#194 - Ricky Henry, OG, Nebaraska

#208 - Scotty McKnight, WR, Colorado (Sanchez' buddy) or Michael Galatas, WR/KR, Millsaps

as still another alternative, the Jets could take:

#194 - Jeremy Kerley, WR, TCU (or Aldrick Robinson, WR, SMU)

#208 - Chris Nield, NT, WVU

The ones I bolded I like and did consider during my draft. IMO Cedric Thornton is a sure fire 4th rounder and I doubt we'd get him in the 5th round. Its POSSIBLE but UNLIKELY because he brings such great intangables and numbers to the table, even for a small school.

Kerley again could be there early 5th but Id like Moore better at the end of the 4th because he just seems to be a more prolific player.

Nield I like but by drafting Jenkins in this mock youd have 3 NTs on the team ( J.Jenkins, Devito, Pouha) who can also all play 3-4 DE. Adding an additional DE just gives us comfortable depth if Ellis is gone and gives players consistent spots. Having Neild who can only play one position would limit the Jets .

Also, you said you dont know Williams, Bellore, and Graves. Well ill break them all down very simply.

Williams- hell of a run blocker, tough kid, Callahan knows him, could start at RG in a few seasons IMO.

Bellore- Can tackle everywhere, good depth at ILB, will be a special teams captain.

Graves- Gets solid pressure, can stop the run, a little bit of an Ellis mold to him (6'4 290), can also play 4-3 DT, played on a younger line so his potential still hasnt shown, good possible roational guy.

Also to add, Kleck, Im surprised you know Henry but not Keith Williams, he was the better Guard of the two IMO.

I know Henry because a poster on another board commented about him and posted some info on him.

Good stuff, can't see Jones dropping to 14 though, especially if you are allowing trades in your mock.

Jones to the Rams is hard to mock successfully but IMO the desperation for a QB in this upcoming draft will cause many teams to skip better players. Which cause things like Jones to the Rams when he really should be picked in the top 10.

I should of done more trades but thought it could get to out of hand and effect my mock overall so I had the Jets trade and cooled down on it from there. IMO there will be a lot of trades in the first and second but its very hard to predict.

    Appreciate the comments btw.
