What do you guys think about this kid as a safety. I think a Pass Rusher is definitely more importantly for us, but Id like to hear what people think about Williams. I have been watching some Texas highlights and specific highlights on him and I love the way he goes up and attacks the ball. He always gets the ball at its highest point and seems like he would be a great centerfielder. He also is a pretty good tackler and does a fine job at fighting off blocks.
Kind of split, I like his physical tools but if we are going to take a safety in the first round I would prefer someone who has played significant time at the position
I'd take him over Rahim Moore. It really depends on who's available though. Williams has the potential to be big time pass defender in the NFL.
Yep, I stated as much in jonny's mock thread as well. The kid has big time tools but may be better as a safety. On the NFL network they talk as if him moving back is a done deal from whom ever drafts him so it much be general feeling about him. I'd love to have him if the viable front seven guys at 30 are gone.
