Joe Mauer just got put on the DL. Nothing seems to be going right for Minnesota, right now.

A no-hitter through 4 is a little early to get excited. Anyway, double by Mayberry with 2 outs in the 5th breaks it up.

Atlanta and the Dodgers playing, both wearing Bs on their caps. Braves vs. Brooklyn, I guess. (edit: yeah, the jerseys are Brooklyn)

In more significant news, Clayton Kershaw has gone deep into this game. He's pitching in the 9th, going for a complete game win.

He's retired 13 batters already in ABs of three pitches or fewer.

I imagine it's Boston, not Braves (the Braves played in Boston from 1876 through 1952 before moving to Milwaukee).

^ Yeah, definitely. I somehow wasn't thinking about the Braves' past. They're still using their regular batting helmets, though.

Kershaw loaded them up with two outs in the 9th, Broxton was ready, but Mattingly left him in. David Ross got an 0-2 two run single off his former team.

Braves up 3-2 in the top of the 9th now.

Kimbrel had 0-2 on Casey Blake with 2 outs and a runner on second, but a grounder into the hole scores Jamey Carroll to tie the game.

That was only Kimbrel's second ER allowed of his career.

Damn it. I have Kimbrel on a fantasy team and I took the under on the Dodgers win total as one of my picks in an over/under bet thingy against a friend.

Yeah, that's right. I want the Braves to win. The Mets are done. It really doesn't matter if the Braves win for the Mets won't catch them.

    That was a great game.

Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak to 24 games this afternoon at Florida, currently it's 4-4 in the 8th.

Yeah, they went with Padilla for the save instead of Broxton too, Broxton blew the game Monday night.

    F. Liriano is one inning away from pitching a no-hitter.
