Patriots #33 is now OTC. Same rules apply: Wait 5 picks before you make your next pick. All can join in!!!
Can anyone explain to me why Watt and Heyward were pick for NE? I mean thats a hell on a combo at 3-4 DE but couldnt you go OLine or OLB.
That was my error, I read the wrong team when I made NE's second pick. I would have probably picked Houston or Ayers.
For the Jets??? For Rex's system I like Ayers much better. Ayer's versatility in coverage and moving into different fronts works for Rex. If we draft Ayers and he gets 6 to 8 sacks a year and he's good in coverage...it's a win win. I think Houston is going to a 4-3 team, like ATL.
Yes. I meant for the Jets If (somehow) they were both at 30. I agree with ATL (was their gm and picked him), even the Saints or Seattle with Tampa at the earliest could pick em. I also agree that Ayers fits alot better in our system, he can play any LB position ( ILB/OLB) and is very good in coverage, better than anyone we have.
There we go, makes more sense now and doesnt screw anyone up. NE still has a good couple of players to pick from that could of been in the 1st.
Watkins would be scary on the NE line, the only thing Id be happy about as a Jets fan with that pick is he'll be a 26 year old rookie.
interesting, I was thinking DT or OT... but i like it, I dont think he should start now but give him a year maybe two and he'll be a nice QB.
I still thing the age thing is overblown. He doesn't have a lot of football wear on him, and considering how long Guards can last in the NFL, he could be looking at a 10 year career. He's perfect on a Playoff team, so he can just be plugged in the lineup and be there for at least 6 years before a decline, which isn't as harsh on a Guard than a Tackle or skill position...
Yes you are right on that but at least its a 10 year career at age 36 then 13-15 year career at age 36 when starting at 21 or 22 hahaa.
btw cmon people lets keep this thing moving still, Bengals pick aint that hard. edit: NICE PICK haha exacty who I was talking about.
