Also, Peter King can suck a snow leopard's dick.

The Patriots need to use their draft picks this year. If they want to keep trading back, let 'em. It will eventually start to hurt them in certain spots.

    Excellent post.

If feel that Rex's BPA statement fits in wiht Tannys trading up philosopy. They target the players they want and go get them, often moving later picks to do so. Instead of reaching for a guy that ahs fallen to you, get the one you really want. Last year was one of the years they didn't move up for a player early and it brought in some of the least immediate production.

Some feel that this alone has killed our depth, but its not the case. We have added freeagents and traded for vets to fill out the roster. We add UDFA's every year that have potential. if your going to tell me a round 5 or later guys have tons more ability or potential than a UDAF, I'd be inclined to disagee. Sure you hit some homeruns in there, but more often than not you miss.

The lack of having free agency before the draft thows a bit of a problem at Tanny. He often filled holes in FA before the draft to not have a true need anywhere so BPA was a no brainer. Despite the inability to use the quick fix of the problem first I fully hope they stick to thier BPA despite our needs at certin positions.
I really fell we will not stay at 30 this year. I'm not sold on if we move up or down though, but anything would not supprise me at this point.

As long as they have Brady they can do just about whatever they want draft wise and be ok. He's to the point in his career where he's carrying the offense no matter what they have around him. They had a nice reload year last season and have been drafting a bit better as of late. They are in a good position to use all thier picks, or move around as they please for this draft. Coming off a 14-2 season with a lot of youth already starting the Pats franchise is in more than decent shape.

If BPA is a QB, please tell me we won't draft him.

Considering we're a team that doesn't need a whole lot, we don't have a 2nd round pick, and we just so happen to have needs at the positions that this draft is deepest at (DE/DT & DE/OLB), we should definitely trade down if the opportunity is there.

We don't have alot of needs if all/most of our FAs resign.
