Carolina Panthers - Patrick Peterson It just makes sense. They're not going to blow their wad on a QB just because someone made it a non-rule rule that CBs can't go #1 overall . Peterson is the best player in this draft. Denver Broncos - Marcell Dareus The favorite for the pick lately, and a pretty badass player. Bufallo Bills - Gabe Carimi Probably the best tackle in the class with Castanzo, and he's bigger. This may seem like a reach, but the Bills have Bell and meh at the T positions. Spiller needs a road grader, and if they really like Fitzgerald it's probably a good idea to protect him. Camiri is having himself a good offseason, and it's a "safe" and smart choice. They'd actually have a really good OL if they found another tackle...they have pieces on offense. Cincinnati Bengals - Julio Jones Bengals look to appease Palmer, and take a guy who profiles as a potential gamechanging/playmaking WR. In a normal offseason I'd have them trading Palmer to Arizona or Minnesota, but I'm not sure what the rules are this year so I'll just make this pick. Arizona Cardinals - Cam Newton Really, this is kind of a trade spot if anybody wants it, but I won't mock with trades right now. Newton is balling and I think he learned a pro-esque offense at Auburn fairly well. Whisenhunt might see a comp to a more athletic Roethlisberger. Cleveland Browns - AJ Green Patient Cleveland gets their man. San Fransisco 49ers - Prince Amukamara Their secondary is garbage, and Nate Clements is not the player he used to be. Prince injects some young blood into a vital position. Tennessee Titans - Nick Fairley As Ruby said, the Titans get back their Haynesworth. Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Castonzo Their OL blows, and Castanzo brings a complete game and someone who can start from Day 1. I'd say kick Free inside or move him to RT and get rid of Colombo... Washington Redskins - Mark Ingram Probably not how they dreamed things would go, but a RB would help out that offense immensely. Ingram gives them a workhorse back to pair with Portis, a former workhorse. Houston Texans - Von Miller Texans take the in-state product...a steal in the teens...Williams, Cushing, Ryans, and Miller lead a very young and athletic front 7...there's still sleepers like Barwin and Okoye and solid vets like Antonio Smith too... Minnesota Vikings - Cameron Jordan Vikings grab Jordan to complete arguably the biggest, meanest front 4 in the league. Detroit Lions - Robert Quinn Jim Schwartz could not be any more excited. Ndamukong Suh in one year and then a talent like Robert Quinn in the next? My Jah man. My Jah. St. Louis Rams - Aldon Smith Eventual replacement for Little. Miami Dolphins - Blaine Gabbert Miami is only pretending to like Chad Henne. Jacksonville Jaguars - Cameron Heyward Jaguars continue doing whatever it is they do. They pair Heyward inside with Alualu to try to recreate the DT magic they had last decade....last decade's guys were bigger but Alualu and Heyward are fine players. New England Patriots - JJ Watt Watt takes a surprising tumble right into the arms of our great rival. Prototypical 3-4 DE size and the athleticism to be a threat against the pass...their DL is now back on track. San Diego Chargers - Tyron Smith Chargers need the OL help, and Smith has the potential to be top notch. Personally, I'm not a huge fan but he has his crowd. New York Giants - Brandon Harris Pissed that Smith, Camiri, and Castanzo are off the board the Giants grab a CB. Aaron Ross hasn't lived up to the hype and always gets hurt anyway, and Harris can lock down the spot across from Webster. Tampa Bay Bucs -Torrey Smith WR from Maryland gives Freeman another tough target. Fast and possibly very explosive. Kansas City Chiefs - Stefen Wisniewski OL could go younger at center, and this helps solidify an underrated OL. This is the same franchise who rode an absolutely f*n monster of an OL last decade to some pretty sick offenses. Pouncey is the other option, but I could see them going C while Waters can play. Indianapolis Colts - Derek Sherrod Colts look to protect their hero with a solid, experienced T. Philadelphia Eagles - Muhammad Wilkerson Eagles grab this guy right out of their backyard. I'm not even close to an Eagles fan, but Bunkley + Wilkerson at DT kinda gave me a boner. New Orleans - Ryan Kerrigan Luck out with Kerrigan. Seattle Seahawks - DaQuan Bowers This team needs a playmaker somewhere. Supposedly they like him and I'd go as far as saying that Carroll probably tried to recruit him (he *was* the #1 recruit in the country or something). Good upside here, but still wish he didn't go to Clemson. Baltimore Ravens - Jimmy Smith They need some secondary players, particularly CB. WR Jonathan Baldwin is a possibility here. Atlanta Falcons - Justin Houston Just kinda fits to me...he'd do well there. New England - Mike Pouncey Belichick/Meyer relationship strikes again. Pouncey replaces Logan Mankins. Chicago Bears - Corey Liuget They have no OL, but the release of Tommy Harris means they have no real impact DT either. New York Jets - Akeem Ayers Jets get a guy who can step in and start at the OLB spot across from Pace. A jack of all trades at LB who can be a major playmaker in this D. Looks taller than 6'3 because of good length, and a player I've liked more and more with time and discussion. Pittsburgh Steelers - Phil Taylor Seeing Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton age can't be making their people happy. Taylor's potential is ridiculous, and if there's an organization who can make this guy a monster... Green Bay Packers - Mikell LeShoure Arguably the most talented RB in the draft, and a steal for the defending SB champs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've come to like Ayers quite a bit as a prospect, and I think he has the potential to be a little bit Adalius Thomas with a little bit DeMarcus Ware. He looks taller than 6'3 because he's got a nice high cut frame with long arms...he's a better pass rusher than you might think...he's an excellent coverage guy....he's smart, experienced.....moves well...versatile...the potential for him in this D is pretty sweet. Other Jet picks: 3: DeMarius Moore - Looking to add some team speed, a long term WR option, and a ST boost the Jets grab this rising speedster from Tennessee. Kinda reminds me of Santana Moss. 4: Chris Culliver - South Carolina FS prospect with good athleticism and solid size. Safety is an underrated need for this team. 5: Kenrick Ellis - Beast and might/probably will go higher on draft day. Massive and has potential at all 3 DL spots here....one of my favorite players in this draft. 6: Alex Henery - This man can kick...might go higher. 7: Charlie Gantt - Well rounded TE from MSU offers some upside.

He definitely can get to the QB and has become my favorite prospect over Reed in this draft. More so because he is a do everything type linebacker. He has perfect size to play outside, consistent tackler, stops run plays, and is great in pass coverage ( I believe he had 5 or 6 INTs in college).Also in a Rex Ryan defense he can play ANY linebacking position which is scary on its own seeing how effective he could become. If he can improve a bit more on his pass rush moves and maybe get a bit more explosive off the line he'll be exactly what were looking for.
Also commenting on Dwares draft, I like it more so because its very different from the "common" mock you see. Like mambo I have a few picks I like and a few I get confused with. Ill name them for ya. Things I like : Prince to the 49ers- I think they must go with secondary here, they have a solid LB core and can improve later on and taking Amukamara just makes so much sense for them. Quinn to the Lions- Although Im not sure if Minny skips over him Quinn on the Lions makes a ton of sense and makes that defense scary as hell. Suh and Quinn = top 15 defense in a few years. Wisniewski to the Chiefs- the Oline needs an upgrade an Wisniewski is a 10 year starter and is extremely smart, I also think theyll address the line early over any position. T. Smith to the Chargers- they need a RT and future LT. Smith is that and can start and compete from day 1. Things I dont exactly like: Bowers to 25- Im sorry but there is just zero way that happens, I kno he has injury concerns ( possible microfracture surgery) but the leader in sacks in college football shouldnt be skipped by teams that need pass rush like The Jags, Saints, Bucs, Vikes, and maybe even Cleveland. Teams that need to build and wont be instant contenders would take the leap on this kid. Carimi over Costanzo- Coztanzos hype, tangibles, and skill are way to hard for any team looking for a left tackle. I see Carimi more as a solid RT then LT and the Bills need someone to protect the passing game. Smith to the Bucs- again I think the Bucs can address WR later, after Julio and Green there arent many WRs worthy of a 1st round pick. I think they go DE or Corner or maybe even LB but certainly not WR so early. Taylor at 12- his stock is rising but it shouldnt be THAT high. I think the Vikes should address QB or CB way before DT especially Taylor who IMO fits alot better in a 3-4 NT then 4-3 DT. Where's Cam Jordan at? -You think he'll fall or did you forget em? The rest of your Jets mock I like as well. Id love to pick up Henery but I think there's a chance a team reachs for him for sure. I think Culliver and Ellis should be switched. Culliver will drop because of his injury concerns and Ellis should be a late 3rd to early 4th prospect but COULD fall a bit. I like Moore but think 3rd maybe a bit to high for the kid and I think we address DE or Safety in the 3rd than WR later on (maybe 4th ot 5th round if values there) dont forget we have Cotch plus Edwards and Holmes have a real good chance of coming back.
If that were the Jets draft I would be really, really pissed. Ayers doesn't help the team if there's not another 34 OLB in there too, and adding a WR that early (and not even a good value) followed up by a blocking TE and K over other needs just flat doesn't make sense. Ellis would be great, but that's even a stretch to say him in the 5th. Also, Safety really isn't an underrated need considering everyone seems to just blow off the fact that Dwight Lowery exists.

Draft fixed with a few new picks...Vikings, Colts, and Steelers IIRC. As far as Ayers, what're the thoughts on him here? Soft? Why would we need another 3-4 OLB if we drafted him? In search of the dominant pass rush? What's wrong with a 3-4 OLB who can actually play LB and survive in space? There's other ways to defend the pass beyond blitzing the QB... What's wrong with Moore? And what's wrong with drafting a K, especially one as badass as Henery? Also, Torrey Smith is a first round WR. It's him or Baldwin, and I think he's got better route running skills.
1. I don't have a problem with Nick Folk. No kicker can be trusted - it's just a shaky position. I'll take a proven kicker over a rookie. Alex Henery looks like a promising player at the position, but everyone thought Mike Nugent was the real deal and look how that turned out. Fuck spending a draft pick on a kicker. 2. Denarious Moore isn't worth a third round pick. He'll probably go in the 5th or 6th round. I don't have a problem with him as a prospect, you just over-drafted him. He kind of reminds me of David Clowney.
